Sems to me you have two tricks, if p has ah decs hts can only go on long clubs so no rush knock out ad to set up d trick and when in with as you have either two hts or one in each red suit depending on how p plays to your d switch
None of the above what is competition how are you doing in marginal situations all these things matter, board one pairs or temas 3s stay with the room otherwise I could bid 2/3hts 2c 2d
Can i repeat that sry, leave 5level to opps their suits not splitting well, p could well be trying to bounce them so he could overide me with the weak and long spade hands mentioned above, well done Phil!
It depends what partners pass means, we play dble says shutup p abid would be a bid and p says nothing to say so now x is only option I expext p to have no d trick no four card major and a king . On this basis 5hts is lowest available so my choice.
Assuming you are playing 12/14 nt, the five card spade hands above are all 1nt openers so six spades now is a fair bet Has eagles lost his marbles Grand!,!?
Spade is only lead you need to try to play a forcing game with four hearts, not look for ruffs, kc just silly no offence why you want to ruff with a certain trump trick?
Oh dear you do have a lot to learn eagles, dont adjust for weak fiel just means you are oart of it, assuming you r playing wjos you might bid 3h but i prefer to pass and see how opps bid. You have no def to 4s and they might not bid it
