  1. Never quant ever it agrees hts and should be fove ace if you pla it black. Get a new p and dont play wih anyone who thinks is quant
  2. Pass there is no god bid in acol, p can protect, non question
  3. If p cannot bid over 1s even x then silly,
  4. You must show the true answer, if you start imagning p has made a mistake the whole disciline of partnership bridge vanishes, take up darts at least you are on your own
  5. 3h no choice we are looking at or for a slam, so possibly 4hts but it takes up a lot of sace
  6. Poor players seem always to play the higher of dbltn honours, exoerts vary, so restricted choice iworks beter against experts bit then experts would play the ten or knave. From jtxlho has fhts otherwise rho would have played ten on trick one, taking ac immediately suggests four clubs to tenso sorry thnk you are going down as spades prob four with rho so only chance pray for them to be 3/3, dont finesse
  7. By the way drop the 2nt 11 points so you have no fourcad suits other than clubs
  8. Good question you made limit bid p makes limit bid but I would think p is saying d you think we can run clubs, have decent suit, 6, are your other stops good, any suit bid from you says can you hel but mplies you can stand 4c, any suit bid from you below 3nt syas yes to your suit p bit what about this one, Little bird please note
  9. You are not improvng little bid see wank's response.
  10. Small spade in so far as any lead can be correct this is striaght out of txt book for beginners, or Goren "better bridge...."
  11. What is wrong with 2c or 2d on hands with 33 in majors? And 8/9/10 depending on minor suit length and quality or 1nt with similar but fewer points but worthy of a bid?
  12. Means lessons needed esp the 5nt bidder usng half points?
  13. Depending on style double normally but if not 3c pass out of out of the question what do ypu do if p dblss and if he passes put a 0 om you card or minus 5/6 imps
  14. Whether or not 1s shows five (dont see how it can, whatts wrong with 3d, a reverse, we have the strength and p can enquire about hts rebid soades with five or raise either minor seems simple
  15. I agree with nige1 even playing acol. If i pass on 1 how can p make a protectiive dbl?
  16. Sry west's 2hts the error 3hts is clear, west must bid a spade and two ds shows 5/4 in the reds. Tough 4hts goes down but its 75% plus chance sometimes lousy bidding eg being in two hts gets you agood result but only a small percent of the time. End of non question!
  17. Well anything (almosr than 4hts, he only has six losers so defo in slam territory. I would just bid 6hts but if you prefer 4nt rkcb or 4d providing it does show first round contorl, if not 4nt but all that does is fiddle unless splinter can be first round contolif it can 5c is possible showing all aces Zelandakh seems to confuse what is simple.
  18. 3d, which is more enc. than 4d which would besecond choice, ax anything over 4d so could be a good bounce but AK mean wont get the chance agiainst decent opps
  19. Oh dear now seen the full hand so p has little idea but you rebid 3s and he raises to four if not you bid spades again, no point asking about daft bids
  20. Ht contorl spade fit slam invite to accept explore further with a cue bid in minors, go slow with big hands
  21. X, and on p's hand 4s. What crossruffs given distribution? ht lead third hand if ruffs its a winner on a loser openng leader has no trumps. But still thats the way it goes sometimes. Still have chances of making. The benefit of preempting high.at mps might pass the x
