I think a tourney for polish is ok as I have never seen one that really debars anyone other countries from playing ( so no not racist in my eyes) A tourney with NO Poles (not picking on anyone in particular here btw) allowed (in my eyes would be racist)

A spades finese Q diamonds if it holds play K hearts to force out the ace discarding spade then diamond discard then you should be able to get back in with diamond ruff after you play the ace I would be reasonably confident A hearts was with east(I may regret saying that)

unless I am much mistaken, everyone seems hung up on running out of energy (well specifically oil) in this world, I have a concern about the same thing, but from a different perspective if the oil runs out, bang goes all the products associated with the Petro chem industries, so lets assume no more UPVC, plastic or whatever etc etc. Now we have to go back to basic products wood (perhaps) are we not endanger of running out of tress before we run out of oil? speed ball = play fast if you dont you get ave assigned, lets keep it simple or else, on difficult hands, some people may slow down as the director will find a line of play that the players at the table could not and hence get an adjustment they dont deserve

It would be far better if 7am was at daybreak everyday thus eliminating the need to change the clocks once a year

The funny thing is, I was playing acol (which I am at best a beginner at and I had 14 hcp, I wanted to bid 1NT, but I believe that 1NT shows 15-17 here(I could be wrong, I was not sure) , 2 clubs never even come to my mind (dumb, I know, but most of my posts are based on dumb things I do, sometimes, sometimes I know what I do wrong and just want verification, others, I have no idea what I do wrong, maybe I get brain block or something stupid)

I would chance a few, then a few more, probably up to a point when I open the wrong box or I lose my nerve, I think I would probably get greedy, especially if you keep all the money whether you live or die, also depends on what my personal situation was, if I was retired and had no money and I was ill, I would just keep going and leave the money to my kids :) hopefully after 5 000 boxes I would quit

People on a comittee should always vote on the things that concern the comittee, if they do not, then what is the point of being on the comittee I just find it hard to accept, that someone who cant make a fair decision based on the facts is on a comittee I have worked with lots of people that make decisions as soon as a hard one comes up they are off like a shot, life is full of hard decisions, if you are not prepared to do what is right then I think that shows lack of character. The trouble with abstainers is that the decision that gets made if it turns bad, can then hide behind the abstain and desolve all responsibility and this is what my main gripe is, you see it all the time with politicians and comittee members.... A judge will stand down from a case if he or she is in conflict or personally involved, but they are replaced, I have no issue with this at all I agree in the post why Jan Martell and the other lady abstained, I just have issue with the reason she had to abstain, in a complaint, she should never have been involved at all, even I know that and I am not a lawyer, she should never have been on the comittee dealing with complaints at all as they are the next point of the procedure and can not be involved as for the guy at the end, he is letting the comittee down, what sort of team do the USA run. they are technically holding him to ransom, do not vote or we will make your wifes life difficult, because this seems to be the issue that effected him sounds like cowardice to me
