I do think it's a clear 4H, but even so partners pass is far worse. even with a yarborough xxx T9xxx xx xxx for example game has excellent chances. I would give your 3H bid 4/10 and your partners pass 0/10 lol

I would have doubled first up, but I guess we're in a reasonable position now. given we didn't bid 1H (or some preempt), surely 2H now should send alarm bells, and I'm not sure what it could realistically show other than a big hand with four hearts and longer diamonds. so, 2H it is.

well given North's 3S seems to be totally routine, if there is blame it goes to South imo. but I think any such blame would be harsh, it's not difficult to change the hands just a little so that bidding 4S is the right action.

yeah I think that's the big lesson from this hand, regardless of whether you want to be in slam or not, this random leap to 3N for no reason sucks big time. the whole point of bidding at bridge is to have a conversation, sure at time punting is best, but it's rare, these unnessecary leaps to 3N, or worse still blackwood/keycard/whatever having no clue what to do with the response are imo the worst crimes of the typical LOL bidding

not sure why we'd get the diamonds wrong, if east is 6 x x 1 surely 6331 or 6241 are more likely than 6421?

double is poor, but your partners pass is insane lol as others have said it's between 4N and 5C for you, and partner should just boost it to 6

the robots leads are infuriating at best. mid hand leads are even worse for example 1N 3N lead of 2 of a suit small doubleton in the dummy, robot has AQxxx wins ace and switches. does this sort of ***** all the time lol

in my experience the hesitation makes it very likely that W DOESNT have the Q. the time to finesse is when u play J and west plays small before your card has even hit the table!!!!

i would show as 21-22, it's not a great hand but it's not terrible either, and imo not worth a downgrade out of that range

doubling with KJ hearts all vul at imps seems like total madness

I can only assume a misclick from East here, there is no other sensible explanation! there is certainly no convention I've ever come across that makes this hand a 3C opening lol

no blame for me, I guess if East had strong NT type hand with 4 spades he'd double, and with a strong hand with 5 spades he'd bid some number of spade, so he's basically showing a 5th spade and unbalanced weak hand (I might be wrong on that). and as far is west is concerned okay he knows there's a likely 9 card fit, but for all he knows 4H is cold for N/S.

can't u just ban this silly woman from your club permanently? walking out in the middle of a game totally screwing the whole evening for everyone else is just awful behaviour.
