lol dude it wasn't meant personally, I was just warning you that when you partner up with an expert in the acol club most of the time they wont actually be experts and the same for a lot but not all of the advanced ps as for the hand i've done far more dumb things than that - sometimes against the robots i'm playing really quickly and miscount, but if you were to look you'd see my imp average over the past month over 500 boards (almost exclusively against robots, bbf people and TM's is +0.41 per board)

the truth with the acol club on bbo is that the overall standard is so poor that a lot of players overrate themselves.

agree with wank but I think a more general point is that weak players will open 2c way too often, quite often on hands which are completely unsuitable such as the one in the OP. I mean this with respect Liversidge but just because these players are strong within your local club, it doesn't necessarily mean that they are good players - if they often open these kinds of hands 2c I'd wager that they almost certainly aren't as strong as you think.

I spade is clear - your too good for 4s and not good enough for 2c. I mean 4s is bad but 2c is horrendous

the more I look at this hand the more i don't understand the argument for 2n. - our heart holding is horrid and likely to wrong side the contract - we have tolerance for all other suits - as wank points out if p lebs into 3 of a minor we're unlikely to miss game - as much as bidding 2n pinpoints our values, double shows values as well (albeit not to such a defined range) what is the advantage of 2n over x on this hand?

I've never thought of it, but surely playing low on second round with AKTxxx when the J pops is a very expert play. on restricted choice J is more likely stiff that QJ and we're trying to induce a duck from Qxx in the other hand. Idk it's something of a guess, good problem tho!
