I understand your frustration with rude online players, but the fact you play Acol is totally irrelevant here. There are some hands where you have no choice but to reverse into a three card suit regardless of what system you play - (whether this is the right hand to do it on is debateable)

I don't see the disadvantage to unblocking, even if declarer decides to finesse clubs rather than endplay us, p has the J of spade anyway

personally think that your analysis was spot on op and the opps comments are just pure resulting bullshit. No doubt if you had opened the hand and pushed the opps to their making spade partial/game (a way more likely occurence than us having game in hearts) they would have called it a clear pass. When they call the stiff Ace a good feature you know they're clutching at straws lol

I have been wondering about No Trump ranges for a while... Often pairs will have (for example) (14+) 15-17 as their range my question is, if you simply alert your range as 15-17 are you banned from having a 14 as you're not alerting it as 14+ - 17, or should 14 counts just be extremely rare. What made me think of this was: http://bridgewinners.com/article/view/bidding-problem-8954/ fwiw I opened 1N (alerted as 15-17), my p bid 3n on his balanced 10 count and they had 5 cashing spades, but it's besides the point... Should we be alerting our no trump range as 14+-17 if we open this kinda hand 1N or is it just "normal bridge" (the majority if not all of the expert players agreed with my 1n call) - where to draw the line? well i led a diamond and of course it was Qx in dummy and Axx in hand and they quickly wrapped up an otherwise unmakeable 13 tricks. From the responses on here and BW it seems like the majority lead so at least I have company :D
