At the speed of light the 6 of hearts comes back and I discard the 9 of spades on which west plays the Q of spades... however my partner has layed out the dummy wrong and has spades on the left then diamond then club then hearts. They just had the auction like 2 seconds earlier but they wanted a ruling. the contract went 2 down which was like a 70% board and it was ajusted to 3 down which was like 30% or something... I just felt a bit meh about it, from the 2nd heart its clear they arent the greatest players in the world and even if she did trump it she might well have cashed the ace of diamond or something. I can't say I really care but interested in thoughts :) Eagles

Personally I agree with Wank the 1c/1d is a bit meh and 4H seems way ahead of all alternatives - pass is just so yuck and 4d as well is very commital. Even if partner only has 4 hearts often the 4/3 will play pretty reasonably with such a good heart suit. Just seems that 4h is way ahead of any other options.

Difficult one. My initial thoughts were East on the basis that I don't understand showing a 4 count as a minimum in a 0-bad 5 range, but possibly West should just bid game vul at imps. I'm a bit torn! Eagles

4s looks super obvious vul at imps - anyone that fails to bid game here needs a lesson in how imp scoring works imo!

As it happened we got an 80% board for being in 6 but I think we should have found 7H How can we bid it better :) - more how can I bid it better (I was South) spots are approx btw Thanks Eagles
