  1. Tx J98x Kxxx Jxx uncontested auction starting on your left 1h 1s 2s 4n 5h 6s
  2. Probably best to ask what 2 hearts means and when you get the reply natural ask if it can be psyched, tank for a bit and then bid hearts. Should get the job done.
  3. A personal favourite: http://www.bridgebase.com/forums/topic/62345-crazy-or-not-part-2/
  4. I thought this Zilla guy was meant to be banned for stalking me aha as far as clueless posters go, at least PhilG cracks me up sometimes
  5. not quite for me , of course if it goes 2h p p then we can act
  6. well I'm around tomorrow evening if anyones up for it, but will of course step aside if a pair want to play
  7. surely showing the 5 card suit must be better because by definition we're also showing shortage somewhere anyway
  8. well if double is penalties then I guess we pass but in the real world, 4n
  9. My partner gave me the wrong response to b.ackwood the other day so I'd like him to be arrested... Any Thai police about?
  10. [hv=pc=n&n=sq8hakqt743djt3c5&d=n&v=n&b=5&a=1hp1npp]133|200[/hv] Matchpoints - firstly do you agree with 1H? secondly, what now, it's a 5 card major strong NT context, but no 2/1 GF (not my preference but meh) Thanks Eagles
  11. I would play 4n here as keycard so I see no alternative to X unless we take some wild position
  12. purely a matter for partnership discussion
  13. I would bid 1n, although pass obviously could work. X is obviously totally mental
  14. it helps to know agreements, but with such prime cards maybe West can splinter rather than 2d?
  15. [hv=d=e&v=b&b=10&a=p1n(12-14)2sd4sppp]133|100[/hv] [hv=d=e&v=b&b=10&a=p1n(14-16)2sd4sppdp5hppp]133|100[/hv] my guess - but who knows!
  16. seems like a virtual wtp double to me, we have 15 points with adequate support for all other suits. If we pass we just deserve pard to have a random balanced ten count and for 1 spade to be passed out when we have a vul game on

  18. I think its lazy to just bid 3n on this hand - if we fsf and partner denies 5 hearts then we can just bid 3n anyway, and what if pard is like 1435 or something and we have a diamond slam
  19. clearly you're a far better player than me, but i can't really see what hand partner can have where he has 3 hearts yet is prepared to leap all the way to 3n despite having a ton of forcing bids available?
  20. I would pass, I think if partner had a third heart or a shaky spade stop they should take it slower by for example bidding fourth suit forcing. Maybe once in a while we might miss a club slam if partner has totally the right cards but it seems like too distant a possibility to worry about.
