Can people also report, with link, how much you win/lose?
-
1. Login BBO 2. On top of the screen, click "my BBO" 3. Hands and Results 4. Recent tournaments 5. Find the match, open it, score of that tournament will pop up, on top right corner of the pop up, you can see "open in new window", click it. 6. Now in the new window, copy the link and paste it here.

He says all except the overall result :) . -------------1st-----------2nd------------Total Nullve___7________39_________46 (win 10) Frank0__24_______12_________36 I guess now I have to pray for big swing in other matches.

What is the deadline to finish the matches and where do we report the results?

Agree with this.

-
Consider the bidding in IMP [hv=d=e&v=0&b=14&a=5dd]133|100[/hv] Even the double is not strictly defined as penalty, we expect partner pass most of the time whether we double or pass, so our decision should be based on how often/much the contract could be set. Imagine we have [hv=pc=n&s=sk32ha432d32ck432]133|100[/hv] Double with this looks crazy but according to DD result double is +EV bid. Set up We give South exactly this hand We give East 6-11 HCP with at least KQTxxxxx in D(at least 8 cards, 2 out of top3 and 3 out of top 5) Otherwise hands are random Calculate the DD result of 10000 hands E playing D contract(using deal 3.1.9). Result Frequency Pay if we X(IMPs, number in bracket means opp redouble) Make7 119 -7(-13) Make6 1051 -6(-11) Make5 1839 -5(-9) Down1 2764 +2 Down2 2568 +5 Down3 1411 +8 Down4+ 248 +12 If we assume opp always redouble when they make 11+ tricks we still have about +0.3IMP expectation, it becomes +1.6IMP if they never redouble. Any comment is welcome.

Is there any rule of thumb which suit to preference if you have equal length(no chance for game) in minors and the auction goes 1♦(2+)-1♥/1♠-2♣-? Assume your 2♣ promise 6, 1♦11-15,1NT 14-16 if that matter.

[hv=pc=n&s=sq432h32da32c5432&n=sa765hkqjt9dk4ckq&d=n&v=n&b=5&a=1h2cppdp2sp3sp4sppp]266|200[/hv] Modified from the hand I (mis)played in sectional. LHO leads a club to RHO's ♣A. RHO returns a club, which LHO shows high low(doubleton), you are in dummy now. What's next? Answer: You can only afford 1 spade loser, that means RHO has to have Kx or Kxx(x=7~J) in spade. In the former case you need to lead small ♠ at this trick(♠A in dummy to protect ♣ ruff), in the later case you need to play ♠A(remove the possibility of trump promotion on 3rd♣) first then a small♠ to Q. Because of the information in ♣ length the correct answer is a small♠ now, not the A. It reminds me it's easy to forget a basic concept when it shows up in the unfamiliar format at table. :( Anyone has similar experience?

I have not thought of it for a while, recently this auction comes up a lot. [hv=d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1d1sd2s3h]133|100[/hv] Assume 2/1, in your opinion 3H should be?

[hv=pc=n&s=sk4haqj9632dqt6c4&d=s&v=e&b=3&a=1hp2cp2hp6np]133|200[/hv] The explanation of 6NT is "20-24pts, strong rebidable C" but I doubt it's just a hand that does not fit into any reasonable bid so robot decide to use simulation technique to decide the final contract. 2♥ does not promise 6 in this system. Anyway, based on the information you have, do you think bid 7♥ or even 7N is +EV?

Sorry the original post contains an error it's 2nd seat vul vs not.

[hv=d=w&v=n&b=12&a=1hd3hp4hdp4s5hpp]133|100[/hv] Am I allowed to pass in this sequence? What do you do with the following hand and what kind of hand(range) do you expect for partner's hand? [hv=pc=n&s=st9743ht95dj65cj2]133|100[/hv]

Do you regularly use some advanced hand evaluation tool beyond HCP(Zar point, Kaplan point, LTC and some modified version, SST/WP, control count, etc)? How do you like those methods? Do you rely on those tools or your judgment and feeling based on your experience when you evaluate the hands?
-
Because 4333/4432 are the shape people usually use HCP to evaluate without additional adjustment. With a 5+ suit or shortness people start to upgrade/downgrade the hand depends on the degree of fit. Maybe also 25HCP, to see how much it cost to miss a 25HCP hand.

I had done a short DD simulation on how often 24HCP 3NT can be made, for your reference, I post the result here. On each hand NS has exactly 24HCP total and both hands are 4432 or 4333. South is always the declarer of NT contract and the card play is analyzed by DD solver. There were 100 sample hands. Result: Tricks Frequency(# of hands) 11......1 10......8 9.......26 8.......39 7.......21 6.......5 If you're red in IMP 3NT has slightly advantage over 2NT(0.38IMP/board) but 1NT is the best if it's possible to stay there.

[hv=pc=n&s=s7hqt9654d84caqt3&d=w&v=b&b=4&a=p1d1hp1spp]133|200[/hv] Free money bridge on BBO, N and E are robot so they never psyche. What should I do in this sequence?

Summer NABC 2nd fast pair qualify, board 27. [hv=pc=n&s=sj65haq83dtckj976&w=saqt42h965dj743ca&n=sk97hktdk965cq854&e=s83hj742daq82ct32&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1c1s2nppp]399|300[/hv] I sat North and the 2NT invitation end the auction, the spade was led, before I set up C defenders got 4♠2♦1♣ for down 2. The bidding choice looks normal(but marginal) and the card play seems automatic but -100 was 10 out of 64(15.6%) for NS. Any comment?

SuitPlay gives wrong result?

I edit the original post. Thanks -
Q8765 T432 3 tricks, infinite entries. South leads 2 and West follows 9, which card should I play from dummy? 2-2 split: doesn't matter Other cases E----W--play small----play Q AK9--J---2tricks---3 tricks(6.22%) AJ9--K---3tricks---2 tricks(6.22%) KJ9--A---3tricks---2 tricks(6.22%) 9----AKJ 2tricks---2 tricks(6.22%) AKJ9void2tricks---2 tricks(4.78%) so small should be better but SuitPlay tells me to play Q, do I miss something?
