  1. Hand 1 and 2 would had rebid 2NT and 4♥ over 3♦
  2. 3♥. It is better than 4♦ as most of the chance partner would had bid 5♦ over your 4♦. After 3♥: If he bid 5♦ then pass. If part bid 4♦ now you can launch RKC redwood or blackwood. If he bid 3NT or 4♣ you can pull 4♦, hope he launch RKC redwood or blackwood himself. If he bid 3♠, then raise ♠.
  3. Opener : 22HCP + 1DP Good control factor Responder: 12HCP + 0DP Fair Control factor Suit Fit : +3 for Eight Card Fit Total : 38 points
  4. The solution is simple: Make a forcing bid.
  5. The best is to not to start blackwood after that double fit being found. Cue bidding will do the job.
  6. I can't figure out how to bid 7 on this. I guess we will stop at 6. Perhaps 6♦ after 5♦. Without the Overcalls, north may reach 7♦ by precision trump asking finding out 6 card ♥ and side suit asking finding out ♦KQxx.
  7. Just wondering will you reach 7♣ or 7♦?
  8. North can visualize 7♦ after seeing ♥A ♠A , Both ♣ and ♦ having AKQ.
  9. EASY using SAYE :) No problem at all after 1♦ 2♣ 3♣ 3♦ ... cue bid, six card BW , Q ask and reach 7
  10. The idea of non-forcing 4♣ is stupid. But a natural forcing 4♣ is not.
  11. Yes somewhat just asking for opinions. If this is the case this is a sufficient reason for responder to take charge of the auction.
  12. Is 3N putting an end to opener's description?
  13. How about: 1♥ 1♠ 2♣ 4♣ ? IMO Since 2♣ does not make a game-force situation, 4♣ can be natural.
  14. 2♣ 2N 3♦ 3♠ 3N 4♦ now what? 4N. 5♥~ 7♦ the worst 12HCP count needs only a fitness for the thirteenth trick.
  15. I agree... When one has a better quailty of a suit he must be the boss.
  16. Do reminded me one hand that was easy but could be an example. [hv=pc=n&s=shakt532dk532ca32&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=1hp2d4s?]133|200[/hv] Easy? But what if North responded 2♣ instead of 2♦ with 4-4 minors?
  17. IMO 5NT is forcing to at least 6NT. (Grand Slam Invitation.) 6♦ is inviting a grand based on fitting of the diamond suit (Else bid 6NT). However it is based on only a good 4-card suit as 4-4 fits can often produce an extra trick. This is especially so when 2NT rebid after 2♣ had denied good 5 carder.
  18. Therefore one may have to figure out a way to show super positive hands on the 2nd round. (E.g. simple raise is strong positive and game raise is minimum positive.)
  19. 2♣ 2N* Positive (No 5 carder, For a minor, Bid Tempo to 5 of a Minor) 3♦ 3♠ (4 Spades A+ or KQ+) 3N 4♦ (3+♦ cue-request. Since it is below 5♦ it is showing extra values) 4♥* 4N. (RKCB (D)) 5♣ (0/3) 5♥ (?Q All KC Present) 5♠* (♦Q+♠K) 6♣* (else?) 7♦ (♣K + ♥K) 7NT On the POV of South He can count on 4s+2h+5d+2c tricks for a total of 13. If he has not the ♠J he may stop at 6NT or 7♦. Like "Trump Echo" have said, the trick is to show super positive opposite a strong 2-club opening, in which my 4♦ to 3NT did it.
  20. All I know is that sometimes an Opponent would tell a Lie.

  23. Brian Senior Suggest that support of a minor after other-minor response is game-forcing. But he is playing ACOL.
