  1. The post stated that 'any feedback' would be appreciated "at the bottom." I have 14 books on Precision so I would be happy to play Precision(it is my favorite system) with someone from China. Fantunes is another option that is possible. I learned three Italian systems several decades ago. The army library had little else on bridge. Neapolitan, Roman Club or Blue Team Club are all possible. I collect systems(I have 400+ bridge books) so almost anything is agreeable. KS, Churchill Natural, 2/1. SAYC, multiple Precision versions, Romex, Goren, Roman Club, Blue Team Club, Neapolitan, The Power System, and Acol are all possible choices. Robert
  2. Mini Roman is not a common convention. 2C*-2H as a negative is also not a common convention. It wrong sides any heart contract and sometimes makes auctions involving hearts less accurate. If you want to bid various hand types, BBO has bidding tables where you can bid assorted hands. I have 1,000+ hands saved in groups of @25 to use with various conventions. I did not see 4th suit forcing on your list. You really should add that convention to your list. Robert spotlight7 on BBO
  3. Churchill Natural 4 card majors. 12-14 1NT. No strong forcing opening. 1NT* reply to one of a suit HCP @4+HCP and often less with a 6 card suit or 5 card support for the opening bid. One over one bid was @8+HCP He held the Life Masters winning percentage record for over a decade.
  4. 1C-(1H)-p-p-2D-2N*(suggests weakness, bids at the three level would show vales)-3C all pass
  5. 1H-1S-3D-3D*4th suit forcing-3H-4H
  6. BridgeFiles The system Sabine Auken plays with her female partner.
  7. You might want to adjust your system to what values partner is really opening. On the first hand, 2S forcing 1 round seems to fit. after their (2H) bid-p-p-? I suspect that opener should have shown a minimum(sub minimum?) holding a singleton and 6 clubs. Defending with them holding at least 8-9 hearts is not a good option for your bidding results. On the second hand, why did partner not X(since X is penalty?) holding KQxx of hearts? If you cannot X for penalty with KQxx, you should adjust your methods.
  8. Sabine Auken plays 1D-2C as natural less than an invite type hand 1D-1H* as either natural 5+Hs or 'any invite type' hand. She also plays 4 card majors and a 1C* forcing with canapé style bidding.
  9. I am an advanced player in EST. My preferred method is Precision style, however, I also have played several decades of KS.
  10. 1) Balanced hands should pass. 2) After (1S)-p-(2S)-p-(p)-I believe 3H is your best bid. The other pair found a fit and stopped bidding so your side normally holds about half the HCP. You have a long suit and partner is expected to hold a decent hand since you have 7HCP.
  11. Good Bad Two No Trump - Larry Cohen - Bridge Guys Try this site for Good/Bad 2NT* auctions
  12. Try out Good/Bad 2NT* in competition. After they bid to your right, 3D suggests 'jump rebid' values. 2NT* first and 3D next suggests minimum opening with long Ds.
  13. I was born in New England and a relative of mine fought on the Northern side at Bull Run. Six of my relatives fought for America in WWII, will you now accuse me of being pro German and pro Japanese for WWII? Where exactly do I state that I am a neo Confederate piece of ****. That word is only four letters long, please try to proof read your rambling rants. Did your recent trip to Iran to sample their food really help reduce global warming? All the world wonders...
  14. Like wife beating, slavery has been around for most of human history. Where exactly do I state that slavery is good? Wars have been around for most of human history? Does that mean they are good?
  15. Lee was offered command of the Union Army before war broke out. He was a widely respected military officer from his service in the War with Mexico. Only a small percentage of the men in Picketts charge at Gettysburg owned slaves. If slavery were the reason, there would have not been any advance that day. Statues put up in the 1920s were to tell women that they still could not vote.
  16. The American Constitution was written and signed by traitors to their English king. Lee was pardoned after the Civil War so he is not legally a traitor as you claim. Slavery has existed for thousands of years and in many nations/empires. The great black empires in Africa held large numbers of slaves. Greece and Rome held huge numbers of slaves.
  17. Washington and Jefferson and all signers of the Declanration of Independence were traitors that rebelled against their lawful king. Slave holders are bad so the great black kingdoms of Africa with their large slave holdings were very bad. For most of history nations held slaves up till very recently. Greece and Rome guilty. Egypt guilty. Persian Empire quilty
  18. Partner has a good hand, but 3C bid is not forcing. So pass now. Close decision, but percentage I believe.
  19. 3) Using the 2M rebid as a 'waiting' bid allows opener to avoid bidding NT first with xx or xxx holdings in side suits. Concentrated values in two suits is helped by a 2M waiting bid. AKxxx AKx xxx xx is not my idea of a good 1S-2m-2N auction.
  20. I like 2N* to show 10+ raise with 4+ trumps. That leaves 3m as natural 6+ invitational. I also use 1S-3H as 6+ invitational. 1M-3M is a mixed raise 4+ trumps and @7-9 dummy points. A limit raise with 3 trumps is 1M-2C*(GF with clubs, a GF NT 'or' a limit raise. If partner is not bidding game, stopping in 2M is nice.
  21. 4 card majors and 1NT* forcing is a very odd combination. 1M-2M is normally 4 card support with some shapely 3 card raises included.
  22. Google Bridge Base Online - Myhands They save every hand you play here and the bidding plus card by card play for one month.
  23. Bar bids are used when you want to compete, however, you do not want partner to bid again. 1S-(2D)-2S-(3D)-people use game try doubles to invite game here and some also use 3H* here to invite game. Bidding ...(3D)-3S when playing game try doubles or 3H* as a game invite would make a 3S bid here 'to play' bar bid. Bar bids are used by people following the Law of Total Tricks, you bid to the level of your combined trumps. With 6Ss and partner raises to show 3, opener can make a bar bid of 3Ss 'sign off.'
  24. 3rd and low users also tend to use the Rule of 10 and 12 rather than the Rule of 11. The bidding will often help answer to what the lead is.
  25. Bidding 4N in Turbo does not ask, it shows an even number of keycards. Bidding above 4N shows an odd number of keycards
