Can you specify your question a little. Obviously more CO2 changes the the global temperature, this change in temperature is influencing every temperature depended system (and that is close to all systems that exists on earth). Are you doubting that this influence results in chaotic behaviour or are you neglecting that there is an effect at all?

There is good evidence that even a small increase of the CO2 concentration will enhance the greenhouse effect and by that cause a continuous small rise of the global temperature. There is nothing chaotic about this part. Earth ecosystem is a complicated system of inter-depending equilibria, even a very small effect can put one of these equilibria out of balance and by that cause chaotic reactions in the other equilibria.

I guess that means they don't know much about bridge laws and ethics too.

I'm often surprised what people think is suggested by a hesitation. Are you sure that North opening together with South 2 level answer does not create a forcing pass situation for this pair? Was North sure? Did South knew for sure, that North pass was not forcing? From South point of view, holding a single ♥ a penalty dbl by North is not unthinkable, and I don't think that North needs extra values to dbl since South volunteered to bid 2♦. If North pass was understood as forcing, than pass was no option for South and 5♣ was suggested by the hesitation. What would 4NT mean in this sequence for that pair? If it's pick a minor it has been suggested, if it's ♥ stopper and/or values it no option holding South cards. I need to know more before I make a judgment.

As South I would have dbled 5♥. South has only 1 ♠, so South can guess that North can make ♠ tricks, South can lead ♠ and has shown that he likes a ♦ return.

The 16 Board limit was introduces when BBO still was very small (less than 100 player online) and it took ages to complete a board. The limit was hard coded into the Windows-Client and and that limit propagated into the server software. One day the support of the Windows-Client might end and after that the 16 score limit will hopefully be history.

Wouldn't it be easier to set up a series of BBO tourneys with predealt hands that cover the range of all suggested weak 2 openings from 2 suited to one suited (without ♣) from 3 to 11 HCP. This would generate a lot of results, you would have the full hands available, you could run DD or SD play analysis .... If you like restrict access to established partnerships. If I got it right (and I hope I did not) than the banks have loans with a nominal value of 100 that have been traded with 35. The interest rate of these bonds is something like 4-5%. They will change theses to bonds that have a nominal of 50 and the trading starts at 50. The bond are for 30 Years with an interest rate of 6,5%.. Since they already corrected the bond values from nominal 100 to actual 35 in previous balances, they might even call that a profit.

That special relativity idea seems to be wrong. Dr. T. Feldmann from the PTB Braunschweig who was involved in developing the method of time measurement claims that relativistic effects were taken into account and that Ronal A.J van Elburg made a mistake himself by adding signal- and satellite speed in a classical way instead of a relativistic way.
