Why would anyone play deliberate slow ? Usually because he thinks that Ave- is better than what can be reached playing. I tried to start a discussion on this at the directors board. I would sugest a automatic of that kind: 1) If a contract is allready down, it is scored as if declarer got the remaining tricks. 2) If a contract is made, it is scored as if the defending side got the remaning tricks 3) If a clain is open, the table should be left open, untill it's accepted or rejected. 4) both sides get Ave- Situations where one could try to benefit from slow play, should minimal that way. Probably it would be a good idee not to start a new board, if there is less then 3 min. left. hotShot

Well missclicks happen. So i usually allow undo's. But if someone needs undo's too often or to optimize the result, i loose interest in playing with that person. For myself i try to avoid undos, even when i missclick. I prefer a bad score at the board, to an undo. hotShot

Well i see the problem with kind of mathematical based rating. How about a friend based system, anyone who marks another as friend one can say if he see's his new friends skill level as modest, appropriate or optimistic. This rating can be applied via +=- to the displayed skill level. One can trust his friends, can one ? hotShot

In fact i give the rest to the declarer if he ist allready down, and i give the rest to the defending axis if contract is made.

Multi around here usualy shows: 1) a weak 2 Hand (6+)in a Major or 2) a semiforcing in a minor or 3) a balanced hand 20+ up to 25+ depending on rest of the system usually the ansers are: 2H weak 2S inviting in H pass if U have S 2NT forcing, othen artifical aswers for better see the weak hand 3H usually shows inviting hand both Majors If open bids a nimor it was semiforcing there

I can only strongly support that! I see a friend an want to kib at that table. If he/she is the host, i can search for the colored table hosts name. But if someone is a kib at a table i have to memorize the table host and go there. Clicking on the name with goto table would be a very nice feature. hotShot

If we were plaing a team match, i would not bother abaut extreme scores. But if i'm playing with another pair at a table, they play a flat 3 NT and i get a minus score (instead of 0) because one tried a lunatic 6NT and failed 3 times with XX. I don't linke it at all. Within Butler scoring it is usual to cut of one(or 2 if often played) topscores at both ends and using the rest for the average. In the case i stated above the average score would be 3NT makin 0 for both sides and the Pair scoring the extreme Result gets it's IMPS against this average too. Which means more IMPS for them. No result is lost, and everybody gets what he/she deserves. I don't see how this can colide with BBO rules. If an extreme score happens more than once it will get into the average this was to. I can't imagine that this would create more or less extreme results. It's just that the table with the extreme result gets most of their own swing, while others do not. hotShot

You are of cause right, and i probably stated my point not well enough. What i ment was an automatic score correction for both sides to the "table result", so that the director does not have to do too many corrections. Hope this is more clear. hotShot

Today i directed my first online tournament. First round i was called to a table, one pair complaining about slow play. When I looked at it 7NT were already 2 down. Then table closed. So i wonder wouldn't it be better if the score would be set to the "interim result" if there is one. If e.g. A player anounced 3NT and has gained 9 tricks he gets a 9 trick result. If a kontract is already down, the result is set to -x tricks. Only if the kontrakt is neither make nor down the score is set to Ave-. Otherwise i'm in 7NTXX-8, i wait until time runs out, because Ave- is better than what i got. any comment? hotShot

seems you have quite an interesting server system, otherwise the use of a list of timeservers on the net could help.

i used the volunteer buton to be sub at a tourney. later i was a kib and a team match when i was moved to the tourney. I saw cards and bidding of the tourney hand, but tablelist and movie stayed from the team match. Even the title in the blue window bar showed the team match's title. when the result of the hand was written to the movie table, the team matchs result was overwriten, the other result stayed as they were.

When a tourney starts many players at many tables suddenly disapear. Even when no tourney is starting sub's suddenly disapear from the table. It would be nice if a message like the "lost connection" message could appear telling the table why the player has gone. Otherwise his fellow playes might think they offend her/him, or feel offended by hime/her because quit because of bad cards, binding or whatever. I saw e.g. a complain about dishonest behaivoir in the lobby, and when i checked the nick he/she was playing in a tourney.
