Wow, even 655321 will not overbid! I think almost all 4333 10s should bid 2S, this is one of the worst possible ones so...

It's ok when I say it it makes more sense than clee obv :P

I think that these are automatic 4♦ rebids. Then I will bid 5.♣ The second one yes. The first and third definitely not. 3♦ already shows a good suit when opener can help it. Do you just never play 3NT when you haven't found a fit? Why is the 2nd one an automatic 4D bid? I would never go past 3N at MP when partner bids spades.

got em

umm how do we know that?

Definitely neutral

A lot of this depends on style. Obviously if AQxxxx xx xx Qxx is a 2S opener to you (which it is to most people), you cannot bid imo. If you are quite sound with your weak 2s then bidding 2S p 4S is reasonable since it might shut LHO out and it will often make. I would probably just bid 2N because if partner had no feature I would not want to go higher, but presumably roger's goal is to shut them out since they might make game when partner has no feature (and if partner has a stiff heart it can be a double game swing). Now we have the same problem, we are in double game swing territory if partner has a stiff heart. If he has more hearts it's possible both 4H and 4S are down though (imagine partner with 6214...oops). Also, for some people they would never imagine preempting and then bidding again. Other people (esp if they preempt quite soundly) would often X 4H to say "I want to bid 4S" at these colors, eg AQTxxx x xx Kxxx should do that imo, also some hand with 7 spades and short hearts. If partner might have done that with a max and a stiff heart, then bidding 4S now loses a lot of its appeal. I would pass fwiw.

If you have a 19 count with C+H you better to remember to pass in tempo because your LHO is gonna pass 2H with like 6-1 in the majors if you hitch also, knowing you probably have 10 hearts and values. -

Also I totally don't buy the "if it goes 2D p 2H p p p that is fine" argument. If I have a super strong hand with C+H I'm not really fine defending 2H, we may make 7C, or at least 6 or 5. -

Whatttttttt? If you have clubs and hearts and it goes 2D p 2H p 2S p 4S that is really bad for you. Strongly prefer C+M. I don't think C+ambiguous major is even problematic, it's obv worse with D+M 4D, but even that is not that hard to deal with imo. -
We have not denied 4 clubs yet, and 6C could easily be our best spot. To take away the ability to naturally bid what could easily be our best spot (basically any time we have 4 clubs to go with our 3 spades) in order to have it available as a cuebid trying to get to 7 seems very wrong. Most of the time partner can infer we have a high club honor anyways in this auction. I mean here if he has all the high trump honors (which we need to make 7), how could we be bidding this much with no club or spade honors, esp with RHO doubling diamonds. A lot of times just bidding 6D or 6H making a grand slam try will be enough for partner to say, "ok, he must have something in clubs otherwise this is impossible." Even if that weren't true, I don't think it would be worth it to just give up a natural meaning for a slam bid that could be our best spot though. That must have priority over everything else. If you're really worried about this though I recommend playing a jump to 4D in this auction over 3C as showing a double fit.

Haha I don't understand the passers either I would crack this all day. Seems like they go down extremely often, and not infrequently down 2. I like 4S a lot better than pass. You mention the usual 3 ways to win, but if you can get 200 or 500 vs them almost always then that doesn't apply obv. I don't think we make 4S enough for it to be right. On the other hand you have 655321 so I lose :P

Partner was playing weak notrumps? Nothing wrong with opening this 1D imo.
-
Almost a herooo. 3N is also not nearly as bad as you're making it out to be on an unrevealing auction. For example I would easily rather be in 3N on 1N-3N than in 5D when playing MP, and it's not even close.

I think it sucks to automatically show your shape. A lot of times if opener just has a min, responder can sign off, so I would strongly recommend playing 3C as a minimum. Also, your suggested structure puts wayyyyyy too much weight on voids. You have both 3H and 3S dedicated to showing voids. You won't have a void very often, and it hurts all of your other hand types. For instance over your 3N bid you can't even resolve shape, and you are very high with your 5422 bids. You also have no way to show 5-5. I think having 3C and 3D both dedicated to stiff and not resolving strength at all is also a loss. Obviously later cuebidding can help you, but your range is still going to be incredibly wide with bidding starting at e.g. 3N (1H-2N-3D-3H-3N). If your range is still 10-15 and partner has still not shown much about his hand, it's going to be tough to have good slam auctions and stop in 4 when it's right. I would put a higher priority on showing right away whether you have a minimum or not, and a higher priority on saving space for likely hand types (singletons, 5422s), and a much lower priority on showing a void or whether your shortness includes 5 or 6 trumps (the latter is not a useful distinction very often when partner has already shown 4+ trumps).

I loled. Over 3H I would start with double, what happens?
-
Side note: I didn't think this was a real word heh. But the dictionaries have it. Google comes up with 1.2 mil hits for unexplainable and 6.3 mil hits for inexplicable, so I think it is still a minority saying. Some forums debated the difference between inexplicable and unexplainable but basically people use them interchangeably. Some people say one is "has no explanation" while the other is "has an explanation but cannot be explained." Aaron Haspel has some deeper theories :P

I would never have considered a low diamond lead, put me down for the K -
There's no amount of UI that can stop you from using your brain and listening to the auction. Even if you don't think partner has the minors then obv he has "psyched" his natural 1N bid.

yep 4D

4S is a pretty special bid with KQxx of hearts
