  1. I think he should. 3. ♦K 4. ♦ to J 5. ♥ to Q and A If opp returns ♥ 6. win ♥ discarding ♣ 7. ♣ to A 8. ♣ ruff 9. ♥ ruff 10. ♦Q squeezes west
  2. Love is worse than drugs, it make me only bugs Gummy bear lives by alky I guess i need to sober up... NOOT..
  3. +1 Quality is much more important. Play as good as possible and analyse hands with your partner afterwards. Also those where you simply got lucky.
  4. ♥ J-A ♣ A ♣ Q ♦ A ♦ duck et cetera
  5. a) ♣ xxxxxxx ♦ xxxxxx I open 2N showing strong balanced hand and pass responders 3♣,3♦ bid. b ) 1♥-P-1♠-P -//- 4♥ (game forcing ♠ raise) - P - P (1♠ bidder short ♠ with ♥ fit) Legal?
  6. ♦A Partner can't have much after such auction at MPS. IMO ♦A is agressive and safe. It could blow away trick(s) but i feel like i should cash our tricks until they have started to cash theirs... And i also think there woun't be much to do for declarer and defenders, so this should be the right moment to go for a good score.
  7. Well at one stage there were psychic controls which were actually parts of systems. I think Bulldog had some, and am I right in suggesting Kaplan Sheinwold did as well? Anyway they are outlawed now. Convention cards - 2008 Mind Sport Games Beijing - open Rodwell-Meckstroth Psychics: 1♥-P-1♠, light 3rd seat opening. Freeman-Nickell Psychics: Rare - 1♥-1♠ is occasionaly short ♠'s with ♥ support. Hackett-Hackett Psychics: sometimes 1M with 3 card Gromov-Dubinin Psychics: rare 1♦-1M; 1♥-1♠; 2♣-2♦; 2♦-2NT ....... It seems to me that psyche is part of their systems. One more thing that i doun't get.. P-[P]-2H(w2)-[P] -//- NV-NV; I have something in my hand (say ♥KQJxx) that suggests that partner has psyched (let's say that i am 99% sure about that, probably because partner does psyche quite a lot..). Is pass an option? or not..
  8. Let's say you have already made a psychic bid in known auction (e.g. 1♥-[X]-1♠). Does it mean that you can't psyche here with same partner anymore? Or you have to prealert? Can psyche be part of a system?
  9. Some thought about 1♣ opener. 1♣-[1/2♠](nat) auctions seems cute for our side. If opponent passes over 1♣, it is less likely that opener has weak type with ♣+M. IMO auctions that has started with 1♣-[P] or [P]-1♣-P can't be difficult. 5♥+... this is hand type i definetly doun't want to start with 1♣-1♦ 1♥,1N, 2♣ possible Basically i think that partscore bidding should be priority here, because there is plenty of space if you want to explore games or slams. IMO 1N should be opened with hands that would accept game invitation after 1♣/♦ opening. Range should be 13-15 for 5332 and 4432 and 14-16 for 4333.
  10. After a 2♥ response it seems ok indeed. But... - What if responder has a long ♠ suit himself? - What if responder has ♠ preference but opener doesn't have ♠? - What if responder is INV+? Answers are easy and obvious * Then he bids spades * Opener describes his hand * Explore slam
  11. Actually the system is designed around that rare 2♦ bid. I found very good structure in ambra. 2♦ was w2 in ♥ or GF in ♥, i went through some boards and really started to like it. So i changed this idea for my needs. Maybe ranges 11/17 18+ for 1♥/2♦ are not perfect, but i doun't see any need to open 1♣ with these. 1♠ /17? Definetly no, NV i play 10-15 style, and doun't want to change system over 1♠. i just tried to say that you can use different ranges here. Balanced 13-counts? I doun't know... i wrote meaning for 2♦ and used imagination to define other bids.. 13-15 NT probably is possible? Or you can open 1♣ I doun't think there should be much problems, because comparig to Polish ♣ it is much more descriptive. 2♦-2♥(preference) 2♠=5♥4 ===> 2N=4♣+ 3♣=4♦+ 2N=6♥4 3♣=6♥+ onesuiter 3♦+ 55m hands Only general idea.
  12. General idea for VUL system 1♣ = Generally 5♣+ 11+(see 2♣ opening) or 5♠+ 15/16+ or 17/19 22+bal (5♥332 and some 5♥422), 1♦ = 5♦ or 4441♣ 11-17(not 5322) 1♥ = somewhere up to 17 1♠ = 8-14; 8-15;9-14,11-15 ..whatever 1N = 14-16 2♣ = 11-14 5♣4♦ or 6♣+ 2♦ = 10-13 5♥+4♠+ or strong unbalanced 5♥+ 2♥ = 5♦+unbal 18+ 2♠ = w2 2N = 21/22
  13. Maybe E-W had agreed that they play michales 3♣=5♣+5♠+ NF as suggested in Revision club. And West forgot the meaning, but after 3♠ remembered...
  14. Pass I doun't think that we can make something.
  15. I doun't even think that it could be fun to play this. :(
  16. If ♥ are 3-2 If play goes ♠A-♠ruff-♥T-♠ruff (Theoretically you should ruff, because 3-3 is more likely than 4-2) You win when ♠s are 3-3 or 4-Kx or 5-K(36+16+2) If you play clubs, you win when they are 3-3 or 4-2 and the one who is short in clubs has 2♥(5422 6322♥ shapes) (but lose when he is 4432 5332 and 63♥22) Basically this is a bit less than 1/3 from 4-2 breaks. So, 1st ♠ line seems slightl better. (not all possible lines included and could be mathematical flaws)
  17. Thanks for responses. In the other room after the same auction opp bid 5♣ instead of 6♣ that slipped home. I know that my partner(not regular) should have doubled... But i am not sure about mine 6♣ at all. After such bidding bad breaks are very possible, or maybe we have 2 inevitable losers... Hasn't 4♣ already described what i have? Anyway, in practise the one who makes last mistake gets abused.
  18. ♠ to dummy and spade Q.. probably i cash ♣A before that.. or maybe not
  19. [hv=d=s&v=n&n=s4ha2dj73cakq7543&w=sa952hjt85d6cj982&e=skqt876h3dkqt2ct6&s=sj3hkq9764da9854c]399|300|Scoring: IMP 1♥-P-2♣-2♠ 3♦-3♠-4♣-4♠ P-P-6♣-P P-X-P-P P [/hv]
  20. Pass obv. 6331 is one of my favourite shapes, because, IMO, many bridge players (typically adv-experts) tend to overbid with this shape (probably psychological reasons). 3-3 so many times turns out to really bad combination. There also might be problem to get rid of partners spade losers in likely 4♣-4♥.
  21. Strange situation. Maybe declarer has ♠xx ♥AJ9x ♦KQx ♣QJxx Nothing else doesn't make sence to me.
