  1. Yes they are! And with cognitive abilities somewhat greater than AOC and Mazie Hirono combined.
  2. Yes, it's a shame that there are some Texas politicians who are nutzoid. I wish they could all be perfectly normal like Beto who has accurately forecast the end of the world in 2030.
  3. Napolitano is certainly entitled to his opinion, but I suspect that Mueller's, Barr's, and Rosenstein's will have a much greater effect. From The Washington Post: From Conrad Black:
  4. Wow! A second voice of reason in the WC.
  5. I was just rattling your chain Winnie. As previously stated, I have grave doubts that anything posted by any of us on an internet message board will have a major impact on the future of our country. It just gives old farts like you and me an easy way to waste time. Anyway, have a happy Easter or vernal equinox holiday or whatever politically correct greeting you deem appropriate for this time of year. Your friend, Chas.
  6. Yes,it is truly sad that Hillary got beat. She is, as we all know, an absolute paragon of virtue.
  7. You are certainly entitled to your impression. As for my "obsession".... From The New York Times From CNN From MSNBC As previously stated, his sexual preference is unimportant in my view. His credentials...Rhodes scholar, war veteran, mayor of South Bend, etc...are much more important and they are impressive. If his policy proposals are equally impressive I could vote for him. However, I think his chances for the nomination of his party are slim at best. The party hierarchy will see to it that he's shot down. And that's a shame IMO.
  8. My point exactly. So why does the media feel it necessary to report sexual preferences? Policy is what's important, not the fact that a candidate is "openly gay". I guess the same could be said about Bill Clinton but then "It depends on what the meaning of the word is is." And FWIW I think Clinton was a successful President despite being a rogue; he and Hillary enriched themselves but they all do that, so what else is new? Hopefully someday we can all say that Trump was a success. (And he was already rich when he got there.)
  9. I didn't care in 2009 either. I've never been interested in what's going on in a bedroom unless I'm in on it. ;)
  10. The thing I find both interesting and disgusting about the MSM's early storyline on Buttigieg is. "if elected, he would become America's first openly gay President." My reaction is, "So what?" I only care about his policy proposals. If he has ideas that will improve the lives of ALL Americans....red, yellow, black, white....then I'm all for him. I'm not really interested in his party affiliation or how he gets his nuts off.
  11. Amen! I remember some time back seeing Nancy Pelosi shrieking, "I'M TRYING TO SAVE THE PLANET." I think she's grossly overestimating her capabilities. Compared to the forces of nature we humans aren't much more than a colony of ants.
  12. As Ken said in another thread, "This is hard to respond to. I don't want to just ignore it but I also don't feel like mounting a defense of myself. I acknowledge your comments. I'll leave it at that."
  13. Perhaps you can tell us exactly what the ideal temperature is for every place on Earth every day of the year and what we must do to attain this utopia.
  14. I understand all that, and I have no problem paying taxes. Over the years there have been times when I was flat broke and paid very little and other times when I made a bunch of money and paid a whole lot. Of the two positions, #2 is my fave. But here's the point: Government has no money of its own. Government cannot give you something that it did not take, by force, from someone else. I think about that every month when I get my Social Security check. And I thank you and Richard for your support.
  15. The "country as a whole" is made up of INDIVIDUALS. All of us...one by one...as INDIVIDUALS are a part of the "country as a whole". Taxes are not paid by the "country as a whole". They are paid by INDIVIDUALS. Corporations do not pay taxes; they just collect taxes; taxes are considered a cost of doing business and added to the price of the product, so the taxes ultimately are paid by INDIVIDUALS. Therefore reparations, if considered being paid by the "country as a whole" would also ultimately be paid by INDIVIDUALS...all of us, one by one.
  16. What a thoughtful eloquent post! "ignorant white Christian trash." Really? 1. I am an atheist. 2. My IQ is 146 3. I don't resort to name-calling ("credulous shitheads like yourself"). I consider it the last refuge of scoundrels. I will leave you boys alone for awhile now. Please carry on your frivolity with great vigor.
  17. It was not intended as a facetious question. You had previously said, Now you say, So your contention is that support for President Trump's policies...lower taxes, border security, better trade deals, etc...is directly proportional to how much light is reflected from his supporters' skin? I'm trying really hard to get the correlation. But so far it has escaped me. Please elaborate.
  18. I'm not interested in their definition. I'm interested in yours.
  19. Please give us your definition of "racism".
  20. Oh darn! Now you've hurt my feelings. I may have to seek a safe space.
  21. I was agreeing with you Winston that "trying to provide a better economic environment for everyone is a worthy goal." And the GND aims to provide "economic security" for all who are "unable or unwilling" to work. So don't worry. Those who ARE able and willing will carry the load. Some other highly-sensible proposals in the GND are the complete elimination of air travel and 99% of cars. Of course this means that 1000's of autoworkers and airline employees would become unemployed. Here again there are no worries because the GND also promises to provide every single American with a job that includes a “family-sustaining wage, family and medical leave, vacations, and a pension.” So those unemployed autoworkers and airline employees could immediately be put back to work (assuming they are able and willing) killing off the cattle herds thereby eliminating cow farts which we all know are a major cause of global warming. It all makes perfect sense.
