Where can I find it? From www.ecatsbridge.com, I could only find World standard card (with notes only, but not the CC), or WBF Generali Card and Notes (with card and notes but PDF). I would like to get a prefilled word/excel (word preferrable) standard card to start with to make one. Thanks :ph34r: :blink:

As an owner of BM2000 (CD version), Functionality BBO online content version - the chat window could not be get rid of. Bridge master only occupy the upper half of your screen. - Could not play offline - Could only play on 1 fixed IP? Does it mean one even could not play on another PC with same login ID used? - Chat message (broadcast) or friend logins message floods around - Offer 'use felt' - remember your setting (e.g. large deck) - All subseq BBO enhancements should be applicable to online BM2000 CD version - Unsure if you have downloaded the demo verison. Wide screen is indeed possible with BM2000. But the demo version lacks the wide screen capability. - Use all your screen i.e. no chat window message flood around - Do not support 'use felt' - It does not remember some of your preference setting. When you switch to wide screen, big deck is the default. I like wide screen/small deck and have to change it every time. - Offer progress tracking. Maybe it is also available in online verison. - A fun picture showing up after you solve each hand, the picture could be any bridge star e.g. Fred ;) , and a message reads "Your level - Fred Gitelman' - Offer sort by type e.g. careful play/avoidance play. And sort by result e.g. unplayed/incomplete/correct - Use offline / anywhere - Could launch BBO playing with people and playing BM2000 at same time - Some latest BBO feature not available in CD version e.g. online colours. Cost - The CD version sells at 59.95 (36 deals * 5 levels). So it is 6 sets of 30 deals quantitatively. - As you know there is 6 demo hands for each level free in BBO. Not sure if the 6 deals are from the 1st ever 36 deals of each level in CD version. If not so, CD version is rougly the same price as online verison. $10/30 deals in BBO online contents. - CD version contains level 1 deals which is for novice / beginners. Players who are willing to spend the money may usually be at higher level. The levels are quite correctly stated i.e. Level 2 easier than 3 than 4 than 5. Level 2 would already offer something useful even for experienced players. - Refill sets for CD version sells at $14.95/30 deals. There is a buy 3 get 1 free offer. i.e. ~$45/4 sets. - Online version $10/set. - Overall online version is a bit cheaper than the CD version. But you would see there is sth different between the CD version/online version. Please post if you have further query.... :lol: :lol:

There is a Shanghai scoring (not sure if I get the correct name) which to me is an IMP version of Russian scoring. As far as I understand, Russian scoring operates on a pre-defined table expected total points gain vs HCP scale. e.g. you get 25 hcp and from pre-defined table you are expected to gain e.g. 500. When you get 600, you earn 100 total points. Shanghai scoring is similar. The table is HCP vs (expected IMP gain = HCP - 20). So for same scenerio (i.e. hodling 25 HCP), expected IMP gain = 25-5 = 5 imp. If you score 600 (12 imp?), you win 12-5 = 7 imp. Shanghai scoring would be more familiar to duplicate players. They dont need to check the table. But it operates on IMP scale which is not the existing way (total point) ..... ;) :D P.S. I dont know if Shanghai scoring is the official name, I just happen to play it with my friends for some small stake, from unknown source it is termed as Shanghai scoring. Probably there is no such thing at all in Shanghai !!!! :lol: :lol:

Downloaded WBF CCE from http://www.worldbridge.org/departments/systems/cce.asp The page says it is 2.18. But after install the program says 2.16. Moreover could not show the suit symbols and could not enter suit symbols via F5-F8. Help please ... B) :lol:

Sorry one more pain... probably to only a group of players. We play 14 boards pair match. Results compared within main bridge club (yes some luck involved :angry: ). From time to time, a board sucks, and no other players play it. Or it sometimes sucks in the middle and the there is not 16 results for it. Would very much appreciate if it gets fixed before too long. Uday mentioned sometime ago it is something related to separating human hands with GIB hands? But now GIB is only available rental? Would it be of some help? :D :lol:

My only pain is tourney too too s...l...o.....w...... 7.5 mins seems too slow. I figure that my experience in okb tourney is also roughly a bit more than 1 hour, so it is similar to 66 mins. It means 66/12 = 5.5 mins per board. In BBO ACBL, the 8pm tourney (the most popular one, which resembles no. of tables in okb tourney) is typically 1 hour 15 mins. It means 75/12 = 6.25 mins per board. The overall tourney finish time (all players finish) would probably be similar for both bbo/okb. But bbo is lacking the ability to move on before all players finish in a round? Or is bbo capable to do it (= unclocked tourney?) There is replaying same pair problem in unclocked tourney? Appears most tourneys in BBO are clocked tourney? BBO is also lacking the Swiss movement within a pair tourney? But I think it is not as important. Guess similar has been mentioned before. Probably it is too difficult .... :angry: :D In general I am VERY HAPPY with the current form of BBO ... THANKS ... :lol: :lol:

Susan doesnt owe anyone an explanation of her decison. She has already indeed explained very clearly her rational. Is Roland being a coordinator handling a tough job? I think so. So does Susan. Is the VG previously organised 'wonderful', 'fantastic', etc? I think it is overrated. There has been preivous posts that people are too tired of the # of cokes. Some previous commentators reject Susan invitation. No big deal. The best players are playing. There are not that many hands double dummy that needs so much bridge talent to make a difference. Get someone presnetable, humorous. There is not too much related to bridge skills for a good commentator. If one could get e.g. jec & his crews in BBO to be the commentators it is another story. Is it 100% voluntary work? Coordinators shd be getting fun themselves. Roland deserves the support for what he has done. Why dont we extend the same support to Susan? Everyone has their own choice, be a personal/objective. There is nothing wrong for 'I simply like xxxxx to be the coordinator'. Does Susan need to do a better job in order that she take over the coordination? Not necessarily. If she is not up to it, she would not be able to continue next year. But there is nothing wrong to be in control of one's destiny. Looking fwd to the event, and would like to see something different. :D ;)

Sorry if I didnt make myself clear. I mean 'when the tourney is still pending', not started yet. From prev posts it sounds that one could post the cc before the tourney starts, and could see it by clicking conv-ours. Just would like to know it is also the same for the registered partner. Would he be able also to see the same card by clicking conv-ours, when the tourney is still pending. It would be useful as many would play as pickup, if they could see the CC before the tourney starts. :D ;)

I could be wrong, but i think the player was a yellow. Everyone but a yellow's partner can chat with a yellow even while a yellow is playing.. team match, tournament, etc. Yes. The player was a yellow for the case I came across. :lol: :lol:

I once kitbitz a team match. A player chat to kibitzer, then I could send chat to him also. I then try to send chat to other players in the same table but not able to do so. Have come across it once only. Not meaning that the other time a player in a team match chat kitbitzer then I could not chat him. Means I only come across the occassion once a player happens to send chat to kibitzer. :) :lol: :lol:

Very interesting thread.... I have never been involved in such high level bridge that requires a team captain. The kind of team match I play is anything goes ... just make up a 4-some !!!... :lol: :lol: Not denying the importance of a team captain. Indeed it sounds to me that a capable team captain could bring a lot of good. Just wonder what a team captain is like e.g. for Nickell team. Is he making the final calls, with the tycoon (not saying he is not good bridge player) and the superstars there? Or is Nickell team having a playing captain? Also would appreciate if Fred share his (personal!!!) experience captaining the USA team some time ago. There are superstars like Zia/Rosenberg within the team!! Even it is Fred, there may still be problems ...... :) :lol: What does he think of each player within the team after the event? Who does Fred consider to be most difficult to manage? What is the most difficult decision he has to take during the event? etc Another question ... in football (British style), it would be extremely difficult for the manager to sit out players like Zidane/Ronaldinho. Is there anyway to do so? I would like to input for 1NT - (2♥) - ? I am able to set editor on, we open, uncheck constructive. Then 1. I could get 1NT (2♥) input. 2. For the ?, FD already provide meaning of 4D/4H, I could not input meaning for 2♠, 2NT, etc I would like to post a screen print. How to post a screen print? Is it possible?

Using 4.7.4, right click to join xxx table seems lost if xxx is playing in tournament (pair or team match). Right click to join xxx table is still available if xxx is playing in Main Bridge Club. Hope it is only a bug. :D :ph34r: :ph34r:
