  1. If this isn't a reverse, then I don't know what is!
  2. I've encountered a few bugs on BBO and that certainly is one of them  Sometimes when you finish playing a board it will show as a passout to you but not to others, though I don't know why. Another bug that I've encountered was during partnership bidding, where both players simultaneously make an action. For example 1 player hits the pass button in the exact moment the other player presses undo or redeal and this results in the very next action (whoever's turn it is) as a pass. It's funny because I have a screenshot of a board with the bidding of 1D-1H-3H-4H-1D-1H-1NT-4H-Pass. Thought that was pretty cool
  3. So what do you play with the 7-2 doubleton? What's my whole hand if I have 72 doubleton? And isn't partner also aware that in attitude situations (in general), we would encourage with the Q and also a doubleton if we want a ruff?
  4. Am I really that weird? I thought this was an easy 2C. Don't like 1NT as I'm unbalanced (and no red suits), 2H can easily work but I don't go out my way to bid my 3 card hearts over a negative double when I have other options and here, I have to bid as I don't have a penalty pass so I'm left with 2C. Don't see anything wrong with 2C because I can't strain this 2C bid to be always 6 cards as sometimes I can't bid anything else but 2C with 3145, 2335 or 2245, etc. Some of these balanced hands can rebid 1NT without a stopper but my hand here has concentrated clubs so it's an easy 2C for me.
  5. I agree with MFA. When I give attitude signals, it normally means I don't have certain card(s) in this suit that you asked for rather than I really don't like this suit and I have something else better so please please switch. It can mean that in different situations and of course all of this would also be based on judgement on what cards can be seen in dummy. For example in this one like MFA said, my signal now here and encourage partner to underlead the club to get a heart through to his king based on this dummy.
  6. 100% takeout for me. And if it's approximately balanced shape, it definitely has extras. This is regardless if 1NT is forcing or not.
  7. I also agree that East's hand doesn't look like a negative to me. Opposite a reverse, you have an Ace and 2 of partner's jacks, what could be really good filler cards. Imagine his hearts were KQ10x or AQxx or something. The 4th club is definitely a big card.
  8. I like 2S. KQ support and an Ace, not too shabby. 2nd choice would be 1NT I guess.
  9. 3H should show a 6-4. No, responder may not pass 3H. After opener bids over 3C we are in a GF auction as he is showing extras and now is asking the choice of games for responder to pick whether it's hearts, no trumps or clubs. This is regardless of the vulnerability or the form of scoring or if responder is a passed hand or not. Even if I had to open 1H with 5H332 15-17 (gasps) and decided to rebid 2C (gasps) and now responder raises me to 3C, I don't understand why I would bid 3H at this stage when we can't have a 5-3 heart fit and why not 3NT over 3C or 3D as a "4th suit forcing-asking for a stopper".
  10. Hmmmm lol. Anyway, this is an easy 1H opener. 2C takes away a lot of bidding space to bid out shapely hands like this and good luck if the opponents start pre-empting in a minor after a 2C opening.
  11. I thought this is an easy 3D unless I'm missing something. Really can't see our "source" of tricks in any NT contract and if our tricks are based on power, I believe the opponents would be able to set up their 5/6 tricks before we set our suit(s) up. At least partner can be 6-5 or I can still get a club ruff or something.
  12. Happy Birthday mate! Hope you have an awesome one ^^
  13. 9. Pass. 2nd seat at red I can't bare 2H with A9-6th. 10. Abstain. Don't and never will understand 1NT with 6cM especially AK-6th.
  14. 7. Easy pass. Partner is almost always 4S 5+D. With 5S 4D I expect partner to be bidding spades again as I don't do takeout doubles with a doubleton major 8. Top spade
  15. 3. 2C, because of the vul and not entirely an unbalanced hand. If the hand was 3145 then I'd be more tempted. 4. 3S, At favourable I like to up the ante lol
  16. 3NT so I can play it. But really, 3H is showing a stopper and how on earth would I know if partner is 5-5? Anyway, even if partner is 5-5, 3NT still rates to be good.
  17. 3C and not worried about it at all. As much as I like to play lots of scrambling 2NT's in competitive auctions, I would definitely play 2NT here as natural for the weak NT as I can't really see passing with all weak NT hands. Agree with 4D.
  18. 3D. It's very important to tell partner about the fit and enough values to compete. It is true that the KQ is going to be hopeless but how else are you going to fight for the partscore?
  19. Agree with gnasher that it probably depends on what direct 3C over 1S would be. I play direct 3C as 5-5 invitational, so going via 2C then bidding 3C is 5-5 GF for me. In the given auction, 2S would promise 4+ spades. In Cascade's hand, I would have to bid 2H in my partnership.
