X for takeout seems perfect. Although it's not ideal given that one of our aces is in the singleton which is not pulling its full weight, but our 5431 and AKAK's compensate for it. Sometimes partner has diamond length or some balanced hand and may not have a suitable hand for a re-opening bid/double. Putting it another way, we have a decent hand, shortage in RHO's suit with 3card support for partner so doubling now will help partner greatly.

Diamond lead. Trump is pathetic, I hate leading from Jxx and LHO tends to have clubs so that leaves me with a diamond.

How about something semi-fancy. Since 1♥-(2♣)-4♠ tends to be natural, how about 4NT being a spade exclusion KC.

Agree with gnasher. These 8card minor suits are always hard to bid, and depending on the hand sometimes it is a 5♦ opening or 1♦-5♦ or 1♦-2♦-5♦ etc. This one looks like a 5♦ opening for me except at adverse like gnasher said.

Call me unusual but I vote for 2♦. Although I have ♥xxx the rest of my hand is worthy enough of a 2/1 overcall (purity of suits). My 2nd choice is 1♠. The reason why I go for 2♦ is that we may still be able to get to spades if say lefty raises hearts and partner doubles for takeout.
