4♥ 3♥ might work to expose partner's values in hearts, but 4♥ which should be a splinter, which should be at least this strong for minors, better describes our hand.

So, values do change after a balancing double. If after a direct double: any new suit at the lowest level: 0-8 jump in any new suit: 9-11 cue bid: 12+ How does it change after a balancing double?
-
Unless your partner had passed 2♠ I don't see how you could have done better.
-
4♠. Values for doubler's partner should not change when doubler is in the pass-out position. Partner knows this, and he was also aware of the redouble, so hopefully he won't have wasted values in clubs.

I'd go with 4NT, too. But I don't quite understand why leading the ♠K is bad; partner should have values in spades, a ruff is not neccessarily ruled out though less likely probably. Neither do I understand why is Pass not an option (after 3♦ and here after partner's double); I think there are pairs who overcall really strong in direct position so their reopenings are...more daring.

I thought of doubling, too. Of course we have too many clubs and the trouble is that they escape to a better suit but then I suppose partner has something in those suits. We'll see what others do.

MSC, June, 1999: http://www.bridgebase.com/tools/handviewer.html?d=w&v=-&s=s9532hkj4dqjt8c97&a=1c1hx2h3cp3nppp Double was negative. No peeking.

1♣. At most a side suit queen. Not an ace. Not a 7411!

1. Whether you use A(ttitude) and K(ount) or the other way around is a matter of agreement. People prefer it like the former because of mnemonic reasons I suppose. 2. In case the Ace is led 3rd hand will show attitude (holding the Q, K or a doubleton as usual) and in case the K is led count is shown. 3. I suppose there's a theoritical reason to ask for one or the other. If you have many cards or AKQ you might want to know count instead of attitude, if you hold 4 or 3 cards maybe you need to know attitude. 4. You should already be playing something similar in NT. People 'reserve' one of those leads to ask partner to unblock an honour or give the count in the suit and the other to ask for attitude. For example, if you lead AKJTx against NT you might want to lead a card to which partner will give count (if he doesn't unblock the Queen), then you know whether to continue or look for partner's entry so that he plays 'through strength'.

It would be nice to know about the scoring. It would be great to know partner's style. If I understood the bidding properly it went: (1♣)-2♠-(3♣)-??? So partner's 2♠ is a wjo showing an equivalent of a weak 2 opening. His spades are KJTxxx at best and being vulnerable I suppose he should have something on the side. If he has ♥AQ and a singleton club (which presupposes opponents have a 9-card fit) he can make 10 tricks on a small club lead. If he has ♠KJ and ♥A, doubleton club and tripleton diamonds, then we're only makiong 8 tricks. In MP's -200 is the kiss of death so I suppose you'd be more careful then, but in general you want to compete. 3♠ would be my choice unless partner is known to do this on very bad hands.
-
Is it forcing because you shout it? I'm with bidding 4♠ right away, unless it's a splinter.
-
I would have bid 4♠. Yes, I suppose you were a wimp. You only needed partner to cover two losers.
-
I find it quite hard. North has ten tricks and South has 3 with no fit. IF there is a way in your system for North to open and show those ten tricks then South has to get the pair to the grand (of course after checking all key-cards). Usually it might be 2♣-2♦-4♠-4NT-(3KC)-(asking for the trump queen)-(yes I have it)-7♠.
-
Or it is right to downvote 3♣!
-
Double crossed my mind. Bidding 3♣ is doubtful, that's why I used a '?'. Pass is quite an option. You shouldn't call opponents cheaters like that though. Just call the Director or record it (?). IF this sort of things continue to happen then you have a cheater but sometimes people just wrongly use UI and depending on who they are they just don't notice.

1♥. Seriously, 1♠. Any other action is trying to guess the whole hand.
