  1. Or you wanted them to shift to spades. Which they didn't, even though dummy didn't have 4.
  2. 3♠. 4♠ seems like too much, but might 3 just miss the game?
  3. Won't they throw their clubs on the run of the 7-carder? What if the lead is a singleton?
  4. MP's, both red: (4♥)-X-(Pa)-??? ♠A9xx ♥x ♦xx ♣JT87xx
  5. What about: 1♠-2♦ 2♥-3♣ 3♠-5♠ 6♠
  6. I now think the club endplay makes more sense. West didn't lead the singleton spade so he must be void, and having only 2 hearts that means 11 cards in the minors which could be 6-5 or 7-4.
  7. The learning curve for bridge is very high already. If the most popular website to play online made it mandatory for players to indicate so much information a lot of people wouldn't even try it. Create a group of friends, join a club. And if you find a newbie without information recommend him/her kindly to study the game, to join a beginner's group or to read more.
  8. Responder forgot the system. Responder has 5(6) hearts and forgot (or missed a (couple of) heart(s)) to transfer. Declarer should pass.
  9. What about the Mind Sports Olympiad? What's wrong with London?
  10. Yeah, double on the first one should be support, but you could agree otherwise. I'd pass on the second one.
  11. X over 3♠ and Pass over 4.
  12. Of course you can't take that into consideration. Just bid your cards according to the calls you see on the table not to what your partner thinks or doesn't.
  13. Why didn't partner double 3♣? Why didn't we double 3♣? I don't like my chances at all. I might try a small heart towards the 8 in dummy or another diamond, but it doesn't look good at all.
  14. [hv=pc=n&s=sq4hak952dt652c43&n=sak2ht83dkqj7caj9&d=n&v=b&b=13&a=1dp1hp2np3cp3hp4hppp]266|200[/hv] ♦A is led. I unblocked an honour from dummy and RHO discarded a spade! Another middle diamond is led and ruffed by RHO who returned the second smallest trump (having used the smallest for ruffing). You play a heart honour and LHO drops the J. MP's. Incidentally, should South prefer 3NT? Should North?
  15. a)xx---1098x---xxxx---xxx CP b)x---1098x---xxxx---xxxx HP c)xx---1098xx---xxx---xxx CP d)x---1098xx---xxxx---xxx HP e)x---1098xxx---xxxx---xx HH f)x---1098xxxx---xxx---xx? CH
  16. It might go down, it doesn't really matter. It's imp's, you don't wanna double them into game when in doubt (sometimes not even without a doubt). Pass on the second one is the best. 3♥ is a little bit crazy. 4♥ is absolutely out. 2♠ could steal from them.
  17. [hv=pc=n&w=skj82hdakqt7cjt72&e=sa53hkq6d98ck9853&d=n&v=n&b=5&a=1h2c3h(Pre-emptive)dp3nppp]266|200[/hv] Who should move? How?
  18. 1♦ is ugly, the suit is not good I'd prefer Pass but 1♥>1♦. 3♣ makes no sense, you already found a ♥ fit, what'cha'doing? Dbl over 3♠ is totally nuts: it's like a medium playing bridge by looking into the crystal ball.
  19. I have a couple of tricks, hopefully partner can bring 2 more. Double. 5♦ or even pass can also be good propositions but I'm bringing the axe here.
  20. I don't like partner's 2♠. I would have gotten to 6, too.
  21. I think it's a Morton's fork. Fraces would love that.
  22. The Dutch won, so congrats to them. I would have prefered USA II to win but it just didn't come to be. Many opportunities were missed, many weird things happened, but in the end the team that beat the previous winner of the BB among other strong teams to become USA II and get to the Bermuda Bowl and then got to the finals just didn't make it to the first place. To speak about a hand I didn't get, in the 7th round it went 3♣-X-4♣-X-All Pass. Do the Dutch play that double for penalties? Also great performance by the amazing Israeli Junior team.
