  1. Maybe if you copy the code for the handviewer. But you'll need symbols like [, &, /, and ].
  2. I agree with the previous poster. After south's first pass his actions over the double should be more energetic, either a cuebid or a jump to game.
  3. I agree partner's pass is from another planet. I think I would have passed holding no aces.
  4. I'd bid 3NT, seems like the best spot. Hopefully they'll lead a spade instead of a heart.
  5. I think I'd double (after bidding 2NT the first time). Unless I were to play one of Justin's partners.
  6. I had this partner who would hold grudges against people who made better scores than him in certain hands. It wasn't exactly like having a nemesis but he would say after finishing a round 'well we got the two boards and that lady owed me' or 'this lady got me again, we'll see about that the next time'. I confess there's some people I fear when I'm at the table against them. Usually disciplined people, the who wouldn't go for a number by making a silly overcall like I would.
  7. x♣ to the King. And then hearts. Idon't want to play diamonds before clubs.
  8. [hv=pc=n&s=st6haqt94dk6ckj32&n=sqjhdat843cat9876&d=e&v=n&b=2&a=p1hp2c2s3c3s4cppp]266|200[/hv] Can 5♣ be reached? Who should move towards it?
  9. I've been reading about the differences between the 2 games and came up with some doubts: - How good is it to play a part-score in an 'abnormal' denomination (NT vs a minor) because of the 10/20 points difference? Kelsey says it shouldn't be risked that much but some other places say it should. - How much should one strive to reach a game? How much for a slam? - What would you say is the difference in the choice of the opening lead in MP's vs IMP's? - How would your strategy change if you were to play a Pairs by IMP's game compared to a team game?
  10. Didn't South sort of denied spades when he bid 1NT? Why would North not bid diamonds?
  11. [hv=pc=n&w=s65h63dak6543ca94&e=st92hak8742d72ck2&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=p1d1s2h2s]266|200[/hv] How do you propose the bidding to continue?
  12. Pa-1♦-1♠-2♥ 2♠-Pa*-Pa-3♥** Pa-??? 2♥ is 11+ (10+ also possible I suppose or is FG playable there?) Is the Pass over 2♠ forcing? What would double show? Is 3♥ forcing? Are there hands where responder is just 'competing'? How do you manage those (in case 3♥ is not forcing)?
  13. I'd keep the results but talk to N/S about the problems with UI and questions asked at the table.
  14. 2nd seat you should be serious. Here the 7th diamond makes me lean towards opening but 3 is just too much at this position. I'd open 3 in 3rd seat, probably.
  15. [hv=pc=n&w=sakjhaktdkqjt972c&e=st85432hj82d3c942&d=s&v=0&b=11&a=1cd4cp5c5dp5sp6dppp]266|200[/hv] West thought he could throw a heart on the spades so he bid 6. How should it had been?
  16. Partner having passed there's not much hope. If I enter I'd enter right away with 1NT.
  17. I doubled in order to bid NT (most of the times, after hearing partner's 1/2♥). 2NT now.
  18. I suppose it depends a bit on partner's pre-empting style. If he has ♣AQJTxxx then 3NT looks great, but if he shows up with QJT9xx then it's better to pass and maybe they'll reopen and we'll be waiting with the aXe. I'd try 3NT most of the time though.
