  1. I'd bid 5♣ over 4♠.
  2. Highest from 3 and lowest from 2. If the 2 are a doubleton is it the same? What is special about this distinction? Is there a standard?
  3. My mistake. As usual. I meant they're red, we're white.
  4. Dummy plays a club and partner plays the J which declarer covers with the K, you hold AQxx and the ten is not to be seen, who has it? The question is, what does second hand play from two honour cards or from a sequence of at least two cards? Is there a standard? Does the whole hand have anything to do with it? Does it change if the lead comes from the hidden hand?
  5. (1♦)-Pa-(4♥)-??? What would the double of 4 Hearts mean?
  6. ♣AK♦x to the Jack. If I've survived all these I'll try throwing hearts on the clubs.
  7. Red vs White, Butler: ♠x ♥AKQ9xx ♦8x ♣T6xx What do you open?
  8. MP's: [hv=pc=n&e=sj72hkdaq832cak64&w=sq853hjdk9754cq52&d=s&v=e&b=3&a=4hppdp4sdppp]266|200[/hv]
  9. 2♦ is effectively GF (or a hand you'd open). I thought 2♥ was a good way to start showing the shape of the hand, leaving space for partner's 2♠ or 2NT and being able to rebid clubs at the 3 level. But when partner bids 3NT I wasn't sure whether to continue or not. I did bid 4♣ and passed partner's 4♥. He held: ♠A87xx ♥A ♦QJTxx ♣Tx But this discussion will lead us to clear the meaning of 2NT (which I guess is what he should have bid? Or 3♦? Or 3♦ over 2♣?
  10. X-Imp's ♠KQ ♥QJ97xx ♦ ♣AQ9xx 1♥-1♠ 2♣-2♦ 2♥-3NT ???
  11. MP's, all white, you hold: ♠AQJ9xxx ♥x ♦x ♣KQJx (Pa)-1♥-(3♦)-3♠ (pa)-4♥-(pa)-??? Do you pass or bid 4♠? What about: (Pa)-1♥-(2♦)-2♠ (3♦)-3♥-(pa)-??? Do you bid 3 or 4 spades? Is 3♠ forcing (assuming 2♠ showed 11+)?
  12. [hv=pc=n&w=sj8732hak43daca32&e=skthjt752d8762cj9&d=s&v=b&b=7&a=p1sp1n(forcing)p2hppp]266|200[/hv] X-imp's, opponents didn't help, but could we get to game? Should we?
  13. X-Imps [hv=pc=n&s=sq986h98da9ckjt84&w=s5hqj74dqj7542cq3&d=e&v=b&b=10&a=pp3d3nppp]266|200[/hv] Partner leads the ♦8, to the 9, J and K. Declarer continues with the ♣A and another club to the eight, partner showing an even number of clubs (If he's telling the truth). After winning the ♣Q, what do you play at this point?
  14. What would 3♥ mean? If it shows I have hearts that's my bid. I think I've suffered a diamond lead after bidding NT with this type of hand but I suppose NT it's the place to go.
  15. 3 bullets, a five card suit, I would have probably bid 6, too.
  16. I miswrote the hand. It was ♦9xx♣Tx
  17. Say it goes: 1♦-1♥ 3♦ Partner shows a medium hand with at least 6 diamonds, not 4-card support and no side suit. I suppose anything we bid is forcing, what would some continuations mean? What would you bid with: ♠KJxx♥KJxx♦9x♣Txx?
  18. I have never discussed this with anyone but holding two hearts (and not hearing them showing support) and two clubs I'm concerned about four quick losers or even dummy being tapped in hearts and partner losing communications in diamonds.
  19. x instead of 3♠? I read the comments about it being for penalty but I couldn't believe it.
  20. [hv=pc=n&w=sq642hkj8daqt73ct&e=sT987xxh2dj82ca52&a=1cp1h2d4hppp]266|200[/hv] IMP's.
  21. ♠5. 4th of your longest and strongest, am I right?
  22. 4♦. Partner doesn't have the stopper but is offering spades as a possibility. I don't like'em.
  23. [hv=pc=n&n=sakqt3hk65d973ck5&e=sj4hj42dakq86cqt7&d=n&v=b&b=13&a=1s2d2hp4hppp]266|200[/hv] ♦J-3-Q-T ♦A-4-2-7 ♦K-5-♣8-♦9 UDCA in use
