  1. Is partner denying 4 hearts? Just showing 'points'? I'd pass.
  2. All white, teams: ♠T96 ♥7 ♦J53 ♣Q76542 (Pa)-Pa-(1♣)-1♥ (1N)-Pa-(Pa)-X (Pa)-???
  3. 1)No, I don't think so. Game has not been reached and we've just given a support for partner's suit. 2)3♥? I bid 3♠. Then I suppose the double means we're maximum with defensive tricks. I see only two possible tricks in my hand I'm not doubling for only one down (or the not so remote chance that they'll make it)
  4. If I were to lead I'd pass but there's no way partner will lead a small club. 4!d for me.
  5. [hv=pc=n&w=sakt874h5dak43ckt&e=sqjht3dt952caq964&d=e&v=0&b=14&a=pp1s3hdp4sppp]266|200[/hv] ♣Jx offside, North led her singleton ♦8 so 13 tricks were taken, should 12 be bid? How?
  6. Is it too crazy to raise to 6 the 5♣ opening?
  7. ♠A4 ♥xx ♦Q ♣AKJxxxxx ♠Txx ♥AKQTx ♦Jxx ♣Qx At favorable it went : 5♣-All pass At another table : 1♣-1♠-2♥-2♠ 3♣-3♠-4♥! Which led to six hearts, down some when hearts were 5-1.
  8. ♠87xxx ♥xx ♦ ♣KJxxxx (1♦)-Pa-(3♦)*-X (Pa)-??? *Weak raise
  9. East is to blame. I wonder what happened on the eleventh hand.
  10. ♠K ♥ towards the 9.
  11. 2NT for me. Did RHO tank before passing?
  12. ♥A♣AK♠x towards the Q
  13. ♠AQJx ♥ATxxx ♦ ♣9xxx ♠Tx ♥K97x ♦AQJT9 ♣Ax 1♥-2♦ 2♠-3♥ 4♥-4NT 5♥-Pass Trumps 4-0, club lead and spade finesse wrong. Is 2♠ ok or should North just bid 2♥ and wait for South to bid♦ spades in case he has them? Do you bid 2♦ or prefer to show a balanced 4-card support with a balanced hand? Do you continue over 4♥ or 'respect' partner's signoff?
  14. South opened a 5-4 and apparently wasn't 'used' to it. He didn't want to let them play if he couldn't show his two suits. Why would North use Stayman without a Major? And since North didn't support hearts s/he should have spades... So maybe South should double 2♠ as his hand looks like it will fare well against 2♠ defensively when partner holds 4 spades. But why did North use Stayman? With such a weak hand (not even good enough for an invitation) North should have waited to enter the bidding. And why didn't North double 2♠ when s/he knows there's no fit in that suit for the opponents. So I blame both players and probably it's 60-40 or 70-30 but to know exactly the methods should be explained, what would further doubles mean, etc
  15. [hv=pc=n&s=saj542ha743dat2c6&n=skq6ht98dk6ckj875&d=s&v=n&b=15&a=1sp2cp2hp4sppp]266|200[/hv] ♠3 was lead. I took it in dummy and the only line I thought of was playing a club towards dummy so that I could throw a heart loser on a surplus club winner (this line included hearts 3-3). Afterwards I thought of two heart finesses (this one includes hearts 3-3, too), what is better?
  16. If your double of partner's bid ends the auction that double doesn't count for the score.
  17. Doubling your partner's bid seems like a better treatment than 1/2 bids. And you don't need a new bidding card.
  18. Pass. It's mp's, not all is lost by not getting there.
  19. Mp's, they're red you're white, they don't seem to have a good fit, you have good defensive values? aXe it!
  20. I don't quite like it but I'll 'Hamman' it. I don't see us getting rich on 3♠X. Pass is too little, 4♦ might not be right and 4♣... well that might be another option.
  21. You can try ruffing two clubs in dummy. That will succeed if spades are 4-1 but hearts 3-2 (or 4-1 with the same guy holding 4 cards in both Majors). Clubs will have to be 5-2 at most and diamonds 6-3.
  22. I don't quite see an alternative to 4♠. 5♠ might seem like a slam try looking for honors in spades, the fourth suit might bring the knowledge of partner's 3 spades but all that is speculative, I think I'd just take the jump and expect partner to 'move' further if he has the proper hand.
  23. I'd buy Dealer4 as the duplicating machine. It almost doesn't matter which cards you use, the machine takes a picture of the card and it recognizes it that way. If you buy the ones which need a barcode then you'll always have to use those cards.
  24. ♠KQJTxxxxx ♥T ♦A ♣xx Partner opens 1♥: 1♠? 2♠ (13+ solid or semi-solid spades)? 4♠? If you bid 1♠, what do you bid over 2♦? Over 3♦?
