  1. 1NT, no other bid fits the hand. 2NT is an overbid with my values concentrated in RHO's suit.
  2. Disagree, I'd bid 1♠ even with 5432 on some hands.
  3. No, I'd transfer to 2♥ and rebid 2♠, showing 4-5 and exactly an invite. Unless partner super accepts the transfer, which gets us to 4♥.
  4. The way I respond, this is easy. I'll just bid 7♣. Holding QT9 of clubs, partner is bound to have AKxxxx or better. If I didn't have to make just one bid, I'd look for spade support to be able to bid 7NT instead.
  5. You are saying without discussion 1♥ (2♦) 2NT is still jacoby, game forcing heart raise? Strongly disagree. Probably depends on where you play. Over here most play 2NT as inv+ heart raise.
  6. Obvious 4NT to me. Two days ago I held x xx KJxxx Jxxxx facing the same scenario. I bid 4NT, and got to 5♣, which was a good save; -500 vs 620. However, the big upside was that the bidding continued (over 4NT): p 5♣ 5♠ p p x and we went +200.
  7. I would never respond 2♦ with only three. I'd prefer 2♦ to show five and respond 2♣ on a doubleton.
  8. 4♦, really seems like the hand for it.
  9. The first one is just bad luck. I agree with all your bids. The hands fit extremely well. On the second one north was a little agressive. But the contract wasn't really awful. With a little luck it's making. The third one is harder to evaluate. I don't like the 4♣ bid at all. Not sure about south's 5♣ - what would 4♦ mean here? From my perspective both players are at fault - mostly north for his jump to 4♣ with a hand that didn't really fit the description.
  10. Systemic diamond. I'd never lead ♠J from JTxx with at least a couple of reasonable alternatives, so I'd not expect that to work against a thinking declarer.
  11. Double for me. But just a tad heavy for 3♦.
  12. Easy 1♠, pass would never ever occur to me. We might easily have game here.
  13. Easy 1♥ overcall. 1♠ only promise four for me. Anyway, I'll raise to 2♠, 1NT most probably wrongsides the contract.
  14. no, it's not quite close...this is not worth a reverse, at least not in NA ;) ... Does it make it closer if we are not playing reverse as gf? Huh, a simple reverse isn't GF in any standard system I know. Jump reverses on the other hand... I don't really like the heart suit, and this isn't very close to a reverse, IMO.
  15. Not so easy, overbid or underbid... In these situations I normally prefer underbidding, since I'm then very comfortable if partner moves on. This one is very close though, and I'm undecided. At the table I'd most probably raise to 3♠.
  16. 1NT, showing 18-19 vs a passing partner.
  17. Pretty obvious 5♠ at IMPs IMO.
  18. 1NT. Not going to defend 1♠x with this.
  19. At the 1-level this would be an obvious overcall for me. At the 2-level I think I have to double, to be able to find a 4-4 spade fit.
  20. 4♠ seems very clear to me. Normally it leads to a good score if we're allowed to play there. And it makes life difficult for opps.
  21. 5♥ seems like the best bet for me.
  22. 1♣ looks perfectly normal (and sane) to me.
