  1. The OP says nothing about which defender revoked and which defender turned his card to the quitted trick and asked to see the trick.
  2. Easy pass for me. Seen the corrections (♥Q and dealer).
  3. For me this hand is sub-minimum for a 2♣ overcall. But it's a style thing. 3♣ is not a good idea IMO, I'd normally pass with this hand.
  4. I think this is pretty close between a pass and 1NT. My inclination is towards bidding 1NT on hands like this. I'm not sure that is best.
  5. Easy 1♣ for me. Playing a T-Walsh version where a rebid of 1NT over 1♥ (=♠) shows 1-2 spades, this is a non-problem.
  6. There's nothing on this in the Laws, it's up to the Regulating Authorities to define these things. In Norway we have guidelines on this in an appendix to our Tournament Regulations. And they are? Generally: First time offence: Warning Second offence: 10% of top on a board (0.5 VP) Later: 20% of top on a board (1 VP) Spesific: Different types of offences are listed, for some you don't get a warning, but are awarded a PP as for second offence above.
  7. I'd have started with a 1♠ overcall here. Not having done so, I'm making a third double.
  8. A clear reopening over 2♠ IMO. It's more borderline over 3♠. Personally I'd most probably pass.
  9. Bidding 2♣ over 1♥ looks really bad to me. I'd never do that, clear pass IMO. Over 3♥ it's entirely different. Now north has a very clear 4♣ bid, in fact, I'd bid 4♣ with a tad less.

  11. Natural for me, a hand not strong enough to force with 3♠ previous round that wants to play in spades anyway.
  12. Me too What is your criteria for opening? Seriously, I've got a 10-count, a nice 5-card suit, a singleton, a good rebid and good interiors (♥J8 ♣T). This hand is better than an average balanced 12-count. And I do open hands worse than that.
  13. Me too What is your criteria for opening? Holding a hand I consider an opening! :(
  14. I'd double, to keep most possibilities open. If partner takes it out, we'll either play in 5♥ or some slam.
  15. In my methods opener has promised 55+ and GF values. I raise to 4♣ to invite slam. I've got trumps to set up partners hearts and one of my kings should be valuable.
  16. Yes. I didn't explain myself in copious detail  Nick That's what I thought. :(
  17. It's a cultural thing. In some areas/environments this is an just as obvious 1NT rebid as it is a 2♠ rebid other places. For me, 2♠ is clear.
  18. Huh? I'd say that responding 2♣ with 5+ clubs, a 4-card major and GF strength is pretty much universal (not completely). Which is something different than what you seem to be saying. And that responding 1M with less than GF strength is (close to) absolutely universal.
  19. I don't play this double as a penalty double. To me it just shows general strength, and asks partner to make an intelligent decision. At MP, it's not that unreasonable to convert it to penalties with the north hand, having three trumps, a king and a singleton. At least not if opps are vulnerable. Here they're not, and passing with the north hand looks bad to me.
  20. Easy 2♠ raise in any natural system I've played.
  21. Easy 1♠ opener, IMO. Give me an ace, and I'd at least consider 2♣....
