Alan Sontag Power precision System I Found the text version of the power precision system. Power Precision - Eugene Hung's great notes from the book by Sontag and Weichsel; FD card I have prepared Full disclosure convention card for the above system and it is available in that link. It is 76 pages. Can someone check this and identify the mistakes? So, I can correct it. There is no easy way to check the FD cards.

I think "serious online game" is something of an oxymoron. Expecting a serious game is just setting yourself up for disappointment. I agree this ACBL tournament is not a serious game. First of all, this is speedball tournament, designed for fast and fun. The players gets uncomfortable when you take time to think on complex hands or situation. Calling TD for no reasons when you have ample time left. This applies pressure on the players when playing the hand. Thought process for playing is disturbed by this. Wasting time in typing. ACBL does not even recognize all the points earned towards your ACBL ranking. Only one third counts to your ACBL ranking. You only play 4 teams out of 100. So, there is a lot of luck involved. One team got 68% and placed 5th in the section. Average of 20 boards are adjusted for scores by TD in each tournament.

On-line BBO speedball tournament: Are the players allowed to chat to the opponents the following: jrl1010: faster play brad jrl1010: 2 minute warning brad Brad: tons time opp Actually the game is over more than a min left Players are aware of their commitment to the time in the speedball tourney. Is it not disturbing and wasting time in writing instead of thinking and playing? This is much better in FTF games and they can see that the player is thinking. The time pressure added by the opponent other than TD is another problem in ON-Line game. Is their any rule who can talk about timing in on-line games? Players or TD or both? -

In FTF ACBL games, there is an announcement to be made for opening 1NT range. Example: 15-17 range. Also, there is a statement to be made before the beginning of each round about what system they play, example: SAYC, 2/1, BIG club system etc. In On-line BBO games, there is no such requirement to announce before the round. In FTF, transfer responses to 1NT opening, Texas, Jacoby transfers are announced as "Transfers". This is mandatory. In On-line BBO games, there is NO such requirement to announce as "Transfer". Here, most will not announce "Transfer" as most think 4 way transfers are standard. Carding methods and opening lead agreement announcement: FTF they announce as required and when asked. BBO On-line games, some do announce and some don't. This is not emphasized by TD. Players feel , by asking questions will only lose time and board and so, players don't ask. Typing a question takes more time than asking verbal in FTF. -

ACBL speedball tournament: All bids were made. No opening lead made. Time runs out. what is the ruling on the score? Can TD play the hand and assign score based on obvious lead and plays? This is a general question. Is there any established rules? where is it available? Bid only and not played. Unplayed hands like no bid and no plays. Unfinished hands. To whom it should favour? offensive side or defensive side when the benefit of doubt comes on the result?

The "Qualify" box is not fully developed yet. Memory problem, It takes entire line every time you change the meaning of opponent bidding. It might take 1 or 2 years to develop the required improvements. Just my guess.

Click on work convention card that you want to edit or add defensive carding. This will be the file you will be working on and after the editing, file save as or save etc., After the work convention card opens: click on Show Defensive Carding. click on edit Defensive Carding Look for "opening Leads" section Look for Leads vs NT below section click on each selection and when you do, radio buttons open up. Now you select the one you want. Now, the similar approach for leads vs Suits. Look for "opening Leads" section Look for Leads vs suits below section click on each selection and when you do, radio buttons open up. Now you select the one you want. Now you look right section for signals. Look for "When partner leads vs NT" section Look for 1st priority section Click on arrow, drop down menu appears Now you select the one you want. Perform the same for 2nd Priority. Perform the same for 3rd Priority. Same approach for When declarer leads vs NT. When discarding vs NT. When partner leads vs suits. When declarer leads vs suits. When discarding vs suits. Now , you can write in the Block called "Description and other agreements" Brief notes about other agreements. example: Coded Tens and nine which implies, Jack Denies. Defense against NT; Play of Q request pd to drop J or give count.

If the scores are entered in ACBL program to find out the section winners and overall winners, will it produce the same winners and placements? Not sure. I picked up one result and one section: I tried to do manually for one section and assign round numbers. example: 11 teams : 10 for top. 1 for each team lower score, 1/2 pt for tie, 0 for each team higher score. Results did not come with the same percentage as announced in BBO. Again, It is complex, tiring, and fractions make some difference may be for multiple sections. For only one section, results comes out ok. In regular ACBL tournaments: For 8 teams in one section: The scores are announced as 7 for top and so on. Since, it is not announced as 38 or 45 for top, and so, it might not be compared against all teams. Just my guess.

Zoom in function is working. after several zoom in, unable to retreat to the original view. After the tournament is timed out and finished, the frame freezes at that position and still showing all the remaining unfinished tables. Need to refresh to go back. What is PIN? East West cards are not spaced out to be visible. Spade and Hearts symbols are not fully visible. There are lot of space between the name(USER ID) and club suit cards. That space can be used to provide the space required for spade and hearts suit cards. Or "user ID box" can be lowered if needed. Back - Home - Refresh button prefer to be in the bottom, got used to that familiar position. Mouse is always looking for back button, sometimes in the bottom, sometimes in the top which is confusing.

Initial stages, kibitzing is disallowed in ACBL tournaments. In BBOFlash, it continues to show as disallowed till the end, even though the status as allowing Kibitzing is changed in the last round. But, if you log out and log in again in the middle of the last round, kibitzing is allowed. But if you log-in early, it continues as kibitzing disallowed till the end.
