1MX full: "The Basis: C/1MX Cappelletti Over One of a Major Doubled (C/1MX) is a cute set of responses over an opponent's double. It is based on the assumption that you would usually rather play in 2M than in 1NT when the suit is 5-2. That frees up 1NT for a puppet to 2C, and 2-level bids below 2M are transfers. with the 6-9-point balanced hand with 2 of partner's suit, then, either you transfer into a 5-card side suit and then return to partner's major, or you bid the 1NT puppet and then partner's major. The immediate raise is a 3-card garbage raise, and the transfer into partner's suit is a 3-card constructive raise. With any 10+ HCP, you redouble." see link here

My friend pointed a few issues which are all favorable to me, so I said 'precise analysis", lol. 1) North never show his strength, as Flame menioned. 2) South could never imagine there's no losser in 3 suits, i.e., H,D,C, after 3NT 3) Would not consider NT, as holding D singleton. 4) double, qbid, showing over 21 hcps, 7C is for sure, as Flame mentioned. Hope can hear more comments from opposite:)

[hv=d=w&v=b&n=s9765haq3dqcqt653&s=sakqht2datcak9874]133|200|Scoring: IMP[/hv] West opened weak 2 ♥, which enlightened the grand slam. Here's an unsuccessful bidding waiting for your comments. 2♥----pass----pass----dbl pass-----2♠-----pass-----3♥ pass-----3NT-----pass-----4♣ pass-----4♥-----pass-----6♣// Jack was sitting south. One of my friend gave precise analysis, I'll show it later.

I usually give scoring and vul, but not this time for I think there's no difference and looking forward to hear comments on that form you :) Isn't there a problem for Michael Qbid (or Ghestem) that pard would never know how to choose between D/S as you discribed them as equal length? Say pard has: xxx xxxx xxxx x or xxx xxxx xxx xxx or xx xxxxx xxxx xx Then you will probably play in 5-3/2 but not 7-4/3 fit. In this case, I think 3/4D, hiding S, maybe a little bit better than 2H.

♠QJ753 ♥4 ♦QT98765 ♣- RHO opened 1H, will you inter now? What's your strategy? I passed this because: 1) I cant bid both suit in 1 bid 2) Could be a completely mis fitting hand for opps 3) I can bid on 4the level at any time My strategy is when cant make up mind, listen to more bids Comments? Jack

Sounds great!

To find good game: 1 Build friend list 2 Carefully choose players: profiled is usually much better than those don't 3 Police my table, asking those rude or fake ones leave 4 Join in a proper running private club for qualified players only 5 Remark players as far as I can, but sometimes I was wrong about others That's all I can do.

Raising a preeemtive opening seemed so encouraging. But I'm too conservative and I would probably pass this. Maybe not to bid is more risky than to bid, I'm not sure. I really hope it was in the middle of the game.
-
I would not bame 1♥ opening. I doubt on pard's 4♥. What kind of hand he got that he could not bid anything else? 2H, 2NT, 3D, 3H..... did he realy have no other bid??
-
A: 6♣ heading to grand clearly. 6♣--6♦---6♥---7♠ possible. B: 4♥. But guess the problem isn't over. After opps bid 4♠, if pard not double, I'll bid 5H and hoping it will make. I think it's not necessary to show clubs. Pard know it. C: 4♣. Double on their 4♥. Pard have shown 64 or 65 hand. He's competing with shape, not hcps. Double on 3♥ could be tough for him.

Part III This is logical. :P Crazy or logical, whatever, you bid 5C, LHO doubled as expected. The leading is ♦Q and you can see both hands: N ♠- ♥AKJT3 ♦K63 ♣AKJT4 Leading from W: ♦Q S ♠QTx ♥74 ♦A8765 ♣975 Now please move your seat across the table, how would you make the contract? 1♠---pass---1NT(F)---2♠ comfortable 3♠---pass---pass-----double pass--4♣----pass-----5♣ double---all pass.

Everybody bid and you have a mega-hand

3S showing Diamond Fitting as for me. Even not, I dont want to hear 3NT from Pard --- I'll have to bid 4H along. How possible pard passes if I double? Very likely. He could have 4 or more spade. So I just bid 4H to make it simple, feeling fixed. -
Reasonable, the double on 3S was passed on the next table, and 3S made with no problem. However, 3NT is too cold to be listed as an option :):) Now come to part II: You doubled, and pard bid 4C, are you crazy enough to bid 5C? AWM said no, how about you? :) ♠- ♥AKJT3 ♦K63 ♣AKJT4 1♠---pass---1NT(F)---2♠ comfortable 3♠---pass---pass-----double pass--4♣----pass-----???

If 4D show 1st control, stop sounds reasonable. But I live for second control cuebid, ie, 4D could have shown DK. There IS reason to bid 6. It's not a too bad slam, isn't? we have 10 cards fit and only need to catch HK. I doubt on opener's cuebid 4D. Sometimes, it's just confusing starting cuebid with a void. What he want to know is Club A and trump honor. The splinter has already denied a stiff A or void in club. So there is surely 1 losser. I would bid 4S after 4C. After responders's 5D, 5H would be safe landing. Of course pard can go to 6 by himself when has both HAK. If responder can't cuebid 5D, he must have HAK to bid splinter. Regards, Jack BTW, learned from Phil's post, 1H--2D could be much better sequence. But in my agreement with pard, 1H--2D denied 4 cards support, pard could probably mis-judge the whole hand. Don't know when would be a good chance to psy pard B)

IMP game, opps red and you white. When you have beautiful 5530: ♠- ♥AKJT3 ♦K63 ♣AKJT4, you hear the bidding goes: 1♠---pass---1NT(F)---2♠ comfortable 3♠---pass---pass-----???? What will you do? Tips: 1)If you bid anything above 4C, you'll get doubled from LHO. 2)If you double, it is not penalty. Pard will bid 4C. Have fun.

Call TD! He is the only one who can help! LHO bid out of turn! B)

I dont believe social rating, if it means giving rates to others. If people is honest giving rates, they'd be honest to their level and behave better. Looking for friends is much easier way, you can always find them ON BBO
-
Anyone feels the same that it's a little bit harder than before to find some good games, I mean random game, in BBO?
-
Ahhhh, yes. I 'felt' it, but did not recalled when I said 'not certain'. Thanks.

To bid or not to bid....invitational
adhoc3 replied to Al_U_Card's topic in Natural Bidding Discussion
Given 4th suit forcing is on(this is not a problem I believe), 3H is invitational as for me. 7 cards or more, need some control, a hand better than bidding 2H. -
I added poll on this post. Full hand is only for satisfying curiosity. The mission here is to find the best reasoning, not the best contract :D

Pard open 1C, you have: ♠4 ♥J85 ♦AKQ92 ♣QT65 What would you bid here? [hv=d=w&v=e&n=skq32hkqt3dt6ck84&w=sj876ha62d3ca9732&e=sat95h974dj8754cj&s=s4hj85dakq92cqt65]399|300|Scoring: IMP 1C---1D 1H---2H// Falling 1.[/hv]
-
West should know exactly what his pard's hand looked like, as he tried to confuse others. But didn't he bid 6H with 13 cards fit? :)
-
5 for me. But 66.7% voted for 6 so far. How many will bid 6D in a money tour? maybe 95%)
-
1S----2H 2NT Instead of 2S, 2NT could be showing rubbish, subjected to your agreement. Regards, Jack
