I would bid 3S. If GUBBO subsides (3 NT) then so be it. If GUBBO bids 4S (hopefully with 2S) then can re-evaluate though 12+ plus 12+ is not going anywhere.

define "large" in "large set of hands". I can imagine the human labor involved in checking the results of the regression. If the human labor part is automated then the automation metrics come into question. I probably don't know that much about the regression process. easier to deal with integrated circuits :)

my experience is it is considered as fragment + stopper.

For me happy with being in vul slam on this. But that does not mean anything LOL. You must have calculated the % on this slam. Does it fall in the ballpark for vul slams. Also recurring theme. does one bid 3S to show shape?

GUBizzare steve2005. It just has a 4C bid. Not sure what flights of fancy it had. your 5H, i forget what is even kc and void. 5NT? if so it may have passed :)

strange. However isn't your bid 3H to bid out your shape. Am sure if it had bid 3C that is what it normally does. Perhaps applies when the bid is 3D as well. after that no clue what would happen. or perhaps 3H would be a cuebid. doubt it though. 2D is not light in my experience with GUBBO. why not 6D over 5C. magnificent controls all around and "it" does show 13.

Indeed Mr. Tu. nmf The way the hand is posted I cant see the blurb for 2S. I have a feeling it is 4+H and 4+S. GUBBO has already denied 4+ spades so now it is just bidding out it's shape. The correct bid per system is 2C new minor forcing.

There are two cases which GUBBO interprets as a clarion call to action: 1. stiff even if in partner's suit 2. Length/values in opponent's suit Here the stiff club prompts 2H. Lefty GUBBO has KQT in clubs thus values and marginal length. Would prefer 4+ cards in clubs. Righty GUBBO has 3S but compensating HCP hence..... And you reached the optimal 3H LOL.

LOL johnu. After sign-off 5S. GUBBO's addled innards say MY simulation says you must have an ace therefore I MUST go to 6. I thought it was a partnership game but not so for GUBBO.

Sorry, I differ. A lot of posts are educational and informational and are not necessarily bugs. The education and information is such that other players are aware when using GUBBO. Hand in question, what would an invite be? AJ of hearts instead of AQ? that would not even be an invite. Would be willing to bet a good % of the Big Boys would stop short. Even given it is a vulnerable game. Am not looking for perfection. Just reasonable accuracy. I already said "Probably my fault" in first post. Why rub it in? I did notice blurb said :Invitation to 3nt. It also said 16+ points. I said ok I have 13 and it is an invite. was trying to give my DQ some importance with NT invite. And am protected by spade fit. Why the asinine jump to 6 when blackwood is available? THAT is a bug. and the suit is spades so plenty of room for investigation. There have been enough posts where GUBBO makes asinine jumps when blackwood is available SAFELY! THAT needs fixing. recall recent hand when i showed 5+C and 4+S and GUBBO (Ginsberg's Untelligent BridgePlayer from BBO) left it in in S with 1S and 3C. This time I was smarter and took it out to 5D. Why go beyond 3NT? you have shown your hand and GUBBO has said no. case closed I would think.

Human partner definitely double since I don't want to get yelled at.

also, GUBBO allows opening 2S with such a hand in 4th position. just fyi.
