  1. Once i claimed (indicating number of tricks..) but :"claim rejected" so i was forced to play and realized one trick more !
  2. Hi, with a bidding like that showing almost 24-25 points my partner should have a K+J..or only a J. In these situations it needs sure to beat 4♥. Fourthemore i use (a little variant of) rule of 7 (for double) than i don't double (bidding is not ended..let's wait also to avoid XX - i.e. if N-S have unbalanced hand or so ?), bye.
  3. When you have "impasse situation" to avoid one of many way is the squeeze play (in this hand 3 impasses). With this "aleotorital" on this spot is not the case of positional endings. Than let us win diamond, Q ♥, in dummy in diamond, A and K of spades, A and K of heart ( does Jack falls down ? if not) pitching a club (hopeing to be on 4-3), retourning in S with diamond. Now if an opp has 3 controlls had to be squeezed on next-to-last free winner diamond because if not running last diamond both opp will be simultaneously double (double menace in club) squeezed by a twin entry ending (type B with two winners). In spade an opp must have Q and 10 or if honors are divided one opp not unblocking. One of problems about this automatic ending is reading the exact orientation of unilaterals to discard that controlled by W when not winning menace in N. (In case of ruff in heart and overruff by S had to supply a repeating triple squeeze).
  4. I think that contract could be realized by a double squeeze type twin entry (more difficultly clash), bye.
  5. However i think there is a way to escape off of this situation: before 5♣ bidding, having partner show two Aces by cue bid, doesn't cost anything to bid 4NT because now partner with 0 Ace bids 5♣ (for pass) otherwise you gets to slam ,having the rest of information (=partner has shown only 2 Aces over 3) in this (indirect) way.
  6. I agree with 2♣ opening and for this one 4♠ could be the answer to X but i prefer 5♦ that should solve problem on (future) bidding and allow us to play this contract (at the moment) also considering pair vulnerability.(Lovera)
  7. Hi, let's try this way: select "Watch to play" and click on "full(=not open)" table more compatible/balanced to your profile (you are able to see "profile" of players of that table): infact you are kibbitzer and for" a while "you can see play...until a player leaves the seat (anytime sostituite by robot until play ends) and if you are now able to click quickly on free seat you may join and play (i have noticed it easier in Relaxed than Main B.C.) at table.
  8. Probably of 8th club of S (that doesn't know p has K of heart).
  9. Obviously in ex. 37) without Q in spade 3NT - 4♠, 5♠ - p and, for the hand of this topic 3NT - 5♠ (or 5♥ transf. here, two winners Q), 6♠ counting 12 tricks. But i suggest with hands with no queen and shape 6-3-3-1 to use South African Texas(=double transfert in major suit) meaning 4♣ transfert for heart and 4♦ for spade and opener decide to end in slam or not (i.e. AKQ in spade and Axx in club in ex. 36) knowing in hand of partner there is a singleton, bye.
  10. I think i have understood (in traslation) what have you asked for: this is the explanation by Stayman about ex. 36): "bidding 4♥ or 4♠ answering 3NT by opener, partner simply tells that there is major productivity in suit[=because unbalanced- 6/+ cards] vs NT[=balanced hand]. Opener can single raise to show an maximum hand, highly efficent, with all points make by Aces and Kings how in the example 37): (see) [en passant the same points but with 4 Aces +1point, different plus values].
  11. In book indicated, under ex. 35) was written this :"the two Queen of partner can consider sure tricks and yet the 4th and 5th card in spade suit sound be strongly precious. Because opener sure 27 points partnership has a combined force of 31 points in high cards and also a suit with five cards; generally it is enough to realize a little slam. Bidding of 5 NT by partner asks for 6 excluding grand slam". If you move King of spade in club we cannot say that spade Queen is a sure trick in the same way how in ex. 35) was said and than 3NT - 5NT, p
  12. Bidding in post #24 of ex 3) is 3NT - 4♠, 5♠ - 6♠, p.
  13. In Stayman is said that (OPENER BIDDING 3 NT) :"Because opener has an hand with one of these shapes 4-3-3-3 or 4-4-3-2 that will make 9 tricks helpness, every high card upper J in the hand of partner can be valutated like a winner and a long suit having Queen or a higher card will be source of many tricks. Ex 35) (Opener) ♠ AK5 ♥ AQ10 ♦ AKJ7 ♣ AQ7 (Partner) ♠ Q8762 ♥ 954 ♦ Q6 ♣ 832 3NT - 5 NT, 6NT - p 36) (Op.) ♠ AK2 ♥ KQJ9 ♦ AKQ ♣ AJ5 (Pa.) ♠ 986542 ♥ 76 ♦ 52 ♣ 1076 3NT - 4 ♠ , p 37) (Op.) AK5 ♥ AK72 ♦ A95 ♣ AKQ (Pa.) ♠ Q86542 ♥ 954 ♦ 10 ♣ 873 The spade Q of partner and 4th, 5th and 6th card of spade are sure tricks coverred by A and K of opener ( pagg. 178 and 179.. Stayman systeme..)
  14. I suggest to insert (for shape information) singleton too answering to 5NT so meaning =we have all keys what about controlls of second round ? In this case with a singleton in clubs answering is 6♣ or too i have club King . For logical extension by-passing 5NT (i.e. 6♦=?) should be to ask for Queen: i.e. having heart trump agree 6♥=i have not Queen in diamond and other case are positive reponse (Queen in diamond and a King a side or 6 NT=yes Queen alone) it being shape information important on investigatin about slam bidding.
  15. If clubs break, dummy reversal + squeeze.(Lovera)
  16. The ending A is : N/S 1f/- 2d/T T/3d N or C/ C or N (N is an idle card and C squeeze card). In this ending one of the two double menace (=d) will be oriented (1sf if in N or 3f if in S) and you'll get always in ending B or C. The last ending (for this one an example is my post #19 where in spade Q 9 is 2f without comunication) is N/S ♠ 2f/- ♥ 2dr/3dr ♦ -/1f ♣ N/C(=i.e. Ace of club). A point of attention is when idle card is in suit of double menace (opposite) togheter T(=transfert card- T N/3d) that allows two situations : 1f and 2sf or 1s or 2f. In this case don't reduce ending (if you are not sure orientation) because squeeze doesn't work if you have wrong position infact this five cards ending is an automatic one ( an example is initial post of Lacoon).
  17. Hallo, see also Lovera's last post in BBO Down ?.
  18. It seems how is not possible enter from "BBO Discussion Forum" but is instead possible from "On line user - BBO Discussion Forum - pag. 2" ( with address correlated), bye.
  19. It's a my mistake : this morning instead of tomorrow. Although i entered yesterday by list of Google (BBO forum) and also now as usually it was impossible (code8080), yesterday on Chrome said ERROR_EMPTY_REPONSE (no data for server).
  20. I don'know but tomorrow morning from my HTC (mobile phone) by browser and in the afternoon from my SAMSUNG (tablet) i have not access to forum. I've tried also via Chrome, but any changing was. It was (but initially not) possible by B♠B application. What's happened ?
  21. Yes, i open this way. It needs to consider that LTC is 4 and this result multiply for 5 must inferior or pair to MW (and i consider only longness too).(Lovera)
  22. http://ghbridge.free.fr/articles/C32.htm (this is the exact position of search)
  23. After 3 keys is easy explorer for grand in hearts via 5NT ( if there is a singleton in clubs ) ..
  24. Let's take n.7 Sequential double squeeze :this ending is sequential because there is a winner with unilateral (in spade) and is RFL because there is only a winner with double menace in diamond and it's required that other unilaterale is isolated. Than we have so ending F:North ♠ A J (2f) ♥ K (1sf) ♦ 4 (T) ♣ - East ♠ 2 ♥ A ♦ K Q ♣ - South ♠ 4 (T) ♥ - ♦ A 9 (2d) ♣ A © West ♠ K Q ♥ - ♦ J 10 ♣ where f=favoureble position/upper, sf=unfav.le/lower, T=transfert card, 2d=1 winner in suit with two card and a menace double (9=d), C=comprimente is the squeeze card.
  25. In example, if let's consider endings 1), 3) and 5) from double squeeze example (see post #21) with Love notation are type R, type B2 and type B with two winners (all simultaneous because no winner is with unilaterals). For double squeeze with Cicchelli notation we have so:1f/- 2d/T -/1f -/C where T=is card of transfert for opposite a winners toghether a menace, the unilateral opposite therself are in favoreble position(=upper hand) and C is the card of squeeze (ending B). Type B2 or 3) than is this (ending C): -/1sf -/1f 3d/T N/C where 3d is 2 winners plus a menace and N=idle card, 1sf is K controlled in W and 1f is K controlled by E in fav. position. Last ending D is twin entry:1f 1sf 2dr/3dr C where 2dr and 3dr meanings is double menace with two winners repartited among the two hands.
