Keylime and I have been playing 4-card Major opening bids and Positive Responses to 1♣ with 4 or more cards in a major for over 10+ years in our C3 Strong Club System, Copious Canape Club. :) We play simple Relays (Usually the cheapest bid) after a Positive Response (8+ hcp) of 1♥ or higher to an opening bid of 1♣, 16+. We also play canape style opening 1-bids (other than 1♣) with a 2♣ Artificial & Game Invitational response (limit raise or better) to learn the rest of the distribution. Once upon-a-time we played Sabine Auken's 2♣ relay after 1M openings, but decided they were two complicated. :( We will open balanced good 4-cd Majors with 10-12 hcp (AQxx, KQxx), otherwise it is a canape distribution or one-suited (12+ hcp). 1NT opening is 13-16 hcp Balanced including 5M. Keylime & I have been using a simple relay system for 10+ years with our C3: (Copious Canape Club) Strong ♣ opening: 16+ hcp or any 4-loser hand. The Relays after a Positive Response are simple to identify the 2nd suit without usually showing the distribution in the other 2 suits. This approach allows setting the Trump Suit as a Beta for Controls (when opener has a fit) under 3NT and to end the bidding if slam seems remote without too much information leakage. CABs are available after Beta responses. If opener has a non-fitting hand for either of responder's suits, he can make a SAB-3 ASK and often learns if responder is 0-1 / 2 / 3+ cards in opener's suit of interest. We have found this simple and easy on the memory. :) Negative Response to 1♣: 1♦: 0-6(7) hcp. GF Responses to 1♣: 1♥: (a) 4+♠ (denies 5-4 or better in the Majors), or (b) 14+ Balanced (4333, 4432, 5332). 1♠: 4+♥ (denies 5-4 or better in the majors). 1NT: Majors 5-4 or better. 2♣: 1 or both minors (No 4M and not 5-5 in the minors). 2♦: 8-13 hcp Balanced (includes ALL 5332 hands) Different than KK Design. 2♥: 5-5 Hands (excludes Majors). 2♠: All 4441 hands. 2NT+ TRANSFER: 6-cd Suits missing one of the top 3 honors. 3NT: AKQxxxx Any Suit. Cheapest follow-on by the 1♣ opener to the Positive Response is the relay asking about suits (but not shortness). 1♥ - 1♠ RELAY for the various combinations with 4 or 5♠, 1NT REBID = 14+ Balanced. 1♠ - 1NT = RELAY for the various combinations with 4 or 5♥. 2♦ - 2♥ ASKS do you have a 5-cd Suit? 2♠ = NO, Otherwise Transfer to 1-Under the 5-cd Suit. 2♥ - 2♠ ASKS for the Suits: 1-Under Touching Suits or Non-Touching Suits with a Major. 2♠ - 2NT ASKS for the Singleton. 2NT+ Acceptance of the Transfer is ASKING for Key Cards in Trump Suit (1 or 2).

I open 1♦ and ignore the hearts. If you win the hand, the defense will be a forcing defense by leading your short suits and you will lose control playing in hearts UNLESS partner can bid them herself / himself (or maybe make a responder Take Out Double).

Hard to tell. But, your first discard was a low ♠? UDA? If std discards, then don't pitch a low ♠, try a low ♣. Bots dont signal is my experience, but discards - surely they notice them??

I love to play against opponents who give frequent count on defense. :) There are 5 times good defenders give count: 1. To obtain a ruff with a doubleton when partner leads from A-K 2. At the 6-level after a King lead 3. Against NT after an Ace lead (or King, if you do it that way) 4. Helping partner hold up an A or K 5. Please edit this post (the bidding makes no sense). I think you meant: 1♠ p 1NT p 2♦ p 3♦ p 3♠ - ? In my partnerships this shows 6-4 and game try. However looks like you need partner to fit spades (2-cards) and have 2 1/2 cover cards (he probably is not that strong - depends how the partnership plays the raise to 3!d).

With 5-5 in the majors we chose to bid the stronger major 2nd, so responder can pass. With 6-5 in the majors (assuming small difference in strength in the majors) we bid the 6-cd suit 2nd (and then rebid it to show 6, if convenient).

I have been playing a Power Double (15+ hcp, usually balanced) with Herbert responses for several years and like our scheme. If responder has a semi-positive (6-8 hcp) in the Herbert Negative suit (♦, or ♥, or ♠, he responds 1NT. This works well (usually). Jumps are forcing (9+ hcp), usually Hxxxx suit, maybe HHxx.

I agree 12-15 is too wide. My local partner and I have tried various approaches to solve the 15-10 problem. I have played 12-15 frequently from 1990 onward. The best solution IMHO (but not really great) is to use 2♣ as invitational Stayman if responder bids again. Shades of Keri. We also tried including 15 hcp balanced in 1D opening.

Standard Barometer Scoring for many MP and IMP games with Robots and virtual games with and without robots. There are several Robot games that do not use Barometer scoring (Best Hand is one).

What is your reference? Siniscalco Chiaradia was the creator of Neapolitan. Forquet and Garozzo with Mingoni authored The Italian Blue Team Bridge Book, 1969. Originally published in Italian under the title "Il Fiori Blue Team, 1967" Maybe you read Danny Kleinman's analysis where Garozzo & Forquet deviated so much from their agreements that it was had to tell what system they were playing? Noted in "Under The Table" book by Avon.

4NT responses were 1430 and with 2 aces the replies were per Roman Blackwood: Rank/Other/Color I tried canape by responder and found it a poor design.

If the 1♣ opener doesn't accept the transfer, then some play that a new suit by opener is a support asking bid in that suit. Various ways to play responder's responses to a support asking bid. See the original Precision Books for support asking bid responses (Precision Today doesn't discuss a support asking bid in opener' suit.) Edit: pg. 174 recommends that the acceptance of the positive transfer response to 1♣ be Beta (asking for number of As + Ks starting with 0-2 for step one). Opener can follow up with a TAB or CAB in his slam exploration. This is a simple approach that is highly effective.
