  1. I bid 2NT transfer to 3♣ and then 3NT showing a hand that wants to play 3NT without stopper. If I don't have this agreement, I bid as Frances said : 3♣, natural and forcing Alain
  2. I totally agree with that ! It is far more complicated to stay concentrated playing online than behind a screen having the cards in hand ! Don't you also think that the play is a lot faster online so that more mistakes are made ? Alain
  3. Partner doesn't have ♥ so partner having 3♠ is far more likely than only 2, sry ! 3 NT can be OK but you will often miss a slam at these colours when the preempts are wild. I will still bid 3♠ and if I hear a minor maybe try to suggest to play 4NT without cue bidding in ♥ Alain
  4. It is said that you don't play support dbls so, yes, partner can still have 3♥. Alain
  5. Could you tell me why partner is short in ♠ ? Alain
  6. Standard : 2♥ is forcing so they have to alert imo Alain
  7. 1. No, only the ♠K is defensive value and I prefer 3♦ 2. Unless you play Negative Free Bids this is of course forcing. Alain
  8. I'm afraid this will come back in 4M so If I don't bid my ♦ now .... I know it is a bit light but I have a 7-4 shape and I'll try 3♦ Alain
  9. 1♠-2♦ 2♠ Tends to be minimum (or no other bid available) with 5 or more cards, can have 4♦ 1♠-2♦ 3♠ Very good 6-carder suit playable with nothing in front and extras. 1♠-2♦ 4♠ Idem Fluffy : gamble, minimum with 7 cards. 1♠-2♦ 3♦ Usually 4 cards (can be 3 with an honnour) and a good hand. About the 2 cuebids, I play 2♣ as natural (as I sit after the ♣) and 2♥ as a good raise in ♠. Alain
  10. Yes, I'd have passed too ! This is too dangerous at this vul and I don't want to hear partner scream at the beginning of a new year  Alain
  11. 3♠ or 3NT but I will never pass at this vulnerability. I think I will bid 3♠. It is likely we have a fit and this will avoid the possible problem in ♦ or ♣. 3NT is also attractive given the possible bad break in ♠ and one trick less. Well I still don't know ! Alain
  12. Great Justin ! I like very much reading your posts there and the last one on discards is great ! Keep up the good work and happy new year ! :) Alain
  13. Yes, well done but this is a simultaneous one. You can take your ♦ace (king can drop) first and then play your last club to squeeze both opponents simultaneously. Alain
  14. 1♠ or 4♠ depending on my score, opponents, ..... But I prefer 1♠ in 3rd seat. Alain
  15. A 6-5 is worth a GF even with less HCP's. If the auction dies in 3NT I still have potential for tricks in my ♣ suit so I bid 2♣ first Alain
  16. Agree with the others, the hand is far from a minimum with 5-5 and the ♦K more likely well placed so 3♥ is OK and automatic. Alain
  17. 2♥ lets all options open and I have JT in ♣
  18. Me not Joker. I bid 4♦ over4♠ of my partner i bid 5♣ and then he must bid 6♣ if he's good :P  4♦ is too much of an overbid for me, sry. This is easy seeing both hands ! :o :)
  19. LOL More often than you think, friend ! :o
  20. Very difficult and ♣ are impossible to find. It would likely go : (2♦) - P - (3♦) - 3♥ (P) - 4♥ - (P) - P (P) And I'm very happy with 4♥ :o Alain
  21. Ditto, your partner is to weak to bid
  22. No fit, Partner invites and I'm maximum so 3NT, wtp ? Alain
  23. Justin said everything. It was folly not to bid after 1♠-X-2♠ (and the hand justifies a 3♥ bid, even playing Lebensohl). If the waiter passed for me over 2♠ :o now I would bid at least 4♥ I agree. 4♥
