  1. 3♥ is not that hand and the preempt increases chances to find a good fit and HCP in partner's hand. So, even if the colours are relatively poor, I would bid 4♦ Michaels showing ♦ and ♥
  2. Y, 2♠ is a little too optimistic and is, I think, an overbid. I will respond 1NT and wait for a possible rebid by partner
  3. Forgot my too quick answer as the double squeeze position is not there (you're right) but I will play east for ♣K so I can make +2 if he has the ♦J because he will be triple squeezed. So, after ducking the ♠ I take the ♦ return with the ace and run all my trumps and I overtake the ♦Q. If ♦J drops east is "re-squeezed" on the ♦T with the last ♥ and ♣Kx so that you will see if the ♣ finesse was right or not !! If ♦J doesn't drop I will take the ♣finesse for +1
  4. I directly duck a spade to west. If he has the club king then double squeeze if ♦ return or simple squeeze on east (if he has the ♦ jack) if ♣ return. If not east will be triple squeezed if he has the ♦ jack. Am I wrong ?
  5. Hi Misho and all, I think that you answered my question ;) Let me once thank you all for your quick and reliable replies !! See you on BBO :P
  6. As I'm new on the forum, let me first thank you all for your quick responses  but the question is exactly the one that Luis remains in his post. What is better : dbl=discouraging and pass encouraging or pass=discouraging and dbl=encouraging ?
  7. Hi all  , During the Bermuda Bowl,in forcing pass situations, I saw some partnerships playing the reverse of what's commonly played (pass encouraging and dbl discouraging). They play dbl encouraging and pass discouraging. Could some of you tell me if there are some advantages in bidding this way. Thanks in advance, Alain
  8. As they are a lot of experts who are novice and some novice who are experts, the reason to lock a table is less important I think ! Personnaly, even if my table is locked, you're all welcome
