  1. John Malkovich plays old Casanova in "The Giacomo Variations" tonight. No, no at the Broadway! At the theater of Recklinghausen. You dont know where Recklinghausen is? Its a hicktown between Gelsenkirchen and Castrop-Rauxel, you know...heh.
  2. Me too. Just several thoughts about it. Its a good news. Better would be the living bin Laden at the court of justice. So, he died as a martyr for the part of the islamic world. I don't want think about... how many new assassins are born today. It must be feared that not a small number of. Has anyone in the world thought today about xxx xxx civilian Iraqis and Afghans who died in the name of justice on bin Laden and 9/11? I dont hear anyone. So I do it here. 5. A couple of days ago I wrote in great-movie-thread about my "allergy" to the "Titanic" movie. Today my team have held the traditional Eastern meeting on board of the Rhine passenger ship to Düsseldorf. Fantastic weather, a feast of friends and "beer-flat-rate" on board heh, so nothing could annoy this nice afternoon I thought. I was wrong. After every announcement by the ship's stuff came a piece of Titanic main theme music, with vocal, without vocal, classic version, pop version and at the end of the cruise in the sight of Old Town a techno one! I was ready to jump into the Rhine and to swim these last few hundred meters, really!
  6. I think Hrothgar would be the right person for the detailed inquiry and finally answer to the question>>> why did my several Chateaubriand tries sucked heh
  7. IMO the solution with change to a same star-symbol with 2 different colors in design (f.ex) would be much better. One for all players who fulfill the new criteria, other for these who not but got the star before it was introduced. Of course only if this solution would not cost BBO stuff too much time & work for new verifing etc etc.
  8. Yeah, the forum dudes would ground own student's fraternity "Zamboni Madness" on the first day, a bridge club on second .....and generally spend their time on the campus>>> 70% playing bridge, 30% admiring female students.
  9. Got a red card at the afternoon, I am really bad boy heh.
  10. No doubt, #1 on my list is Cameron's "Titanic". I am sure, I would not watch it again, even if this movie would be the only one I have on the desert island.
  11. The political shock waves of this disaster reach Germany. The most conservative state in Germany >>> Baden-Württemberg has got the first "green" prime minister in the history of Federal Republic, elected on Sunday.

  15. She set only a three-month moratorium on extension of lifespans the older nuclear plants in Germany. Many see in it an electoral campaign trick. She faces a three important elections in the next fortnight, beginning this Sunday.

  17. It is strange even for the pure amateur like me. The maginitude 8.9 has been registered in the epicentre of the earthquake, Fukushima was about 170 km away from it, so the magnitude there had to be lower ( how much? ) If so, every nuclear plant design in such active seismic region like Japan had to consider a quake of this strongness or?
  18. Who Wants To Play Bridge Forever? I suppose I would be in the age of 119 a manic underbidder heh

  20. We have not an extra thread about the future of the USD, so a few words here. It seems, China wants to destroy the domination of the greenback at the trading markets and plans to handle the entire own foreign trading in Yuan. This and tries by a lot of countries to finish the exclusively role of USD in oil trading may bring some troubles or?
