This is a common issue on BBO I find (well more common that I would like to see, in fact quite representative of real life) some arrogant individual, insisting on their rights, despite the fact they end up inconviniencing lots of other people, why would some one want to hold up two more hands in a game called "speedball" surely the name in itself would indicate what is happening around him or her another thing, if this was the first ever speed ball they had played in then I suppose you may have some sympathy for their behaviour, BUT, if they had played speedballs before and been playing bridge a long time (which I suspect is the case) then they know what the game is and it is time restricted, the same would apply to regular forum posters that frequent the bash ACBL brigade. they know how difficult it is to do a good TD job in a speedball (due entirely to time constraints) I doubt written rules would have changed this persons attitude and behaviour at the table I find it a poor show that Jacki has to explain herself her, because some halfwit, decided to ruin everyones fun and then someone has the cheek to whinge about it in public, upsetting the host and various other people If that person is so concerned about their score in a bridge tourny, they would be better off trying to improve thier game in general, rather than worry about the odd imp lost at a 3 minute a hand game

I am quite amazed at you Tim, when have you ever seen Fred and Uday do something that is secondary to the BBO site regarding quality of service as for revenue, I am sure that if ABCL tourneys are really helping to finance this free site, then may be we should accept that there will be limitations to what can be achieved I think Fred deserves an apology for that comment, but I expect that would fall on deaf ears As for ACBL contributing to the running of BBO ( financially, I would hope that the anti ACBL brigade, decide that thier moral standpoint would be, they feel it unacceptable that an organisation they hate is giving them (or enabling something to remain free for us all) something for nothing) as this is the case, I think the Anti ACBL brigade should boycott this site and never come back (Oh happy days for us all)

Hi Noble, thx for trying to fathom out what my poll is about, I have no interest in insulting anyone, I asked a simple question (ok, maybe drug dealers are not value for money, scum of the earth, if you want my humble opinion) (and yes, I have more experience of these b*****s than I would like, probably for reasons that you would not guess, nor am I ever likely to disclose to anyone but a friend) The biggest disparity between typical income earned does not come into it, I asked a simple question "Value for money" this has no bearing on effort, it is what you get back from what you pay out

How weak will you bid 1NT forcing ? Also same question with strongest hand does your bidding change if you play a form of Bergen raise and what will the hands look like? I am asking this question to try and decide where I can set a stake in the ground for what a direct raise should be min and max

I would have corrected to 6NT if they bid 6 diamonds? also is quantative (if my bid was correct) standard as no pick up ever seems to play it as a quantative ask, they always bid what ever type of Bwood or RKCB we have agreed to play
