Hello, I played money bridge, medium level, medium speed. The first bid was 3D (there was no pass before it) As for the leaving 3D, this happend alot but i can understand this and its part of bridge. But as for the play, its just a bug. I can send you the lin file just give me email.

I give the full deal and play on the next message, actually it was board number 2 with east dealer, but the rest is exact. with the last 5 cards, its all high for give, but strangly he play a club giving a trick. I have the .lin if it can help.

yes exactly what i mean. I played two over one or syac for long time, and we manage with the huge range, I'm sure some medium range can be handled effectively with no much trouble. and yes its nice to know exact hcp quickly and maybe blast, but this seems so minor in our shape first world, the world of support and total tricks. when you have 17 hcp with 5S dont you feel you want to open 1S ?

I do not suggest to load more on the 1D, only the 1 major. I dont think its good to load 1D anymore, but also i prefer to improve systems slowly, its easier to "prove" so the only thing i suggest is that someone who play the "normal" 1C - 16+ 1D - 11-15 1M - 11-15 2C - 11-15 would change only the 1M to 11-19.

Most big club systems looks something like this: 1C - K+ hcp (normal is 16+ sometimes 15) 1M - natural up to K-1 1D - diamonds or other things that doesn't fit elsewhere up to K-1. Now I'm sure when you play such a system you feel great when you bid 1M, and feel much less good when you bid 1C. (feel strange when u bid 1D...) So doesn't it just natural to leave everything as it is and stretch the 1M opening until the feeling of 1M and 1C will even up ? I cant say what is the border line, but lets say if you play normal 1C 16, i would guess that plating 1M as up to 19 will gain more then it loses (especially in 5M). This make the system closer to polish like systems but with the big difference that polish have better defined 1D while you will have better defined 1C. I prefer the better 1C.

I guess everyone would bid 3H with that hand, this is why i added what does it mean. The question is should it also show at least weak invite or would you bid 3H even with a little weaker hand such as XXX QJ10XXX X XXX and what with a little stronger hand such as KXX QJ10XXX X XXX

maybe ill be a bit practicle, If I would asked to make a change to this system to make me like it alot, i would do the following. 1H - 4+ hearts canape or not. 1S - 4S canape. 2C/2D - 5+S4+m 9-14 This follows my thory that with hearts its not very important to tell if you have 4 or 5, while with spades its very important.

Hi again, Its a matter of style ofcourse but for me, If I have a good idea about a system, I will try to make my system supirior to other systems at the point where my idea is in effect, but will try to stay with the other systems on the other hands. this give me the ability to say that my system is supirior. This thinking of mine is why its hard for me to digest your system, because I see good in there, but I see also sequences where it is less good then other systems. I guess this will almost always happend, but in your system you took it far, you have these 1 minor openings which are special, but you also have your canape, and you also have all 2 level weak. Hi, Thanks for the book, I like very much the idea of using both minors for many hand types as you do. I don't like the 5M minimum hand opening 1C and even have to bid 2M with 5M4m. I think you should try to give more space to the 5M, maybe the canape is not needed, maybe need some rebid changes, and quite likely you can save some space for it by using the 2 level bids for constructive hands. The book itself was for me hard to read, too many words, not enough summery tables, too many words on the big hands that never come, too little on the every day hands. its possible that Its just me and my desire for a system notes rather then a book. I dont agree with this being non forcing situation. 3D imo is GF, but even if not, its forcing to 3S, and we should be in forcing pass.

When I played 1D unbalanced, i made a structure that will let us bid both natural 2D which could be even with 3 card support, and also a bid for an inverted like to show stronger hands, for this i had to give up the natural 1NT, which i thought its not a problem since opener is unbalnced anyway. it was something like this: 1M - nat 1NT - clubs 6-10 or GF 2C - relay inv+ could have 4M 2D - normal support (6-9) 3+D 2NT - nat inv 3C - 6Cs inv 3D - prempt. i had a nice structur over 2C which i have writen somewhere. I like the natural 2D very much and at worse i had to bid 1NT(showing clubs) with 3325 which i dont think its the end of the world.

This is all true and I agree it must be totally penishment, but would you leave this double with something like a 6D5C (assuming that you dont have another bid avaliable for this hand in your system.

Thanks I think i will try step as a relay inv+ and other bid as some kind of limit. I hope it will have significant enough advance over natural 1H opening (which is easier to pass) otherwise it doesn't worth it.

Imo standard is forcing. I think its possible to change this meaning to nf, if we also change the other meaning of bids so that 3D=focing, 3M= something in the major with 4+C
