thanks everyone I see that its virtually 50:50 in terms of coming in or not. I passed teacher said he would bid but its close. nothing hand really because opps are playing in a making spade partial regardless of what we do but just interested in whether people were bidding or not thanks Eagles

So I had my first evening at a london club last night at the ACOL club playing with a (very good and nice) random. We did pretty well for a scratch partnership but this one was interesting. The opponents are a pair of LOL's so 3D could be forcing could be non forcing could be just about anything. The bidding starts 3C by north - X/pass by East - 3D by south Scoring is MP my questions: Do you double as East? If yes - what do you do over 3D as west If no - what do you do over 3D as west we ended up in 4H (bidding given in diagram) which through a bit of luck and good play by my partner made but obviously it was a big stretch.
