;) I guess I can say I enjoy all types of tournaments but I find survivor and knock out tournaments very much fun for they allow me to enjoy adrenalin of advancing to next round and also release me if it is bad tournament. yes it is maybe dependent on luck little bit and yes _ _ _ _ do happen. But I argue not everyone share same goals you do inquiry/hrothgar (i love this "krinkly with seals" quote) Do you think majority of players at bbo is here for "serious" bridge or for fun bridge? Considering consistent and long life of total points tournaments I think we can safely say large numbers of bbo players enjoy knock out /survivor style "social" bridge tournaments. I think tournaments like ones you favor is for people who is "serious" bridge players and tournaments of shorter length and survivors is prefer by people who main goal is pleasure of very fun game with like mind people. but maybe I err... :P

Maybe you please give us option of seeing lobby chat when at tables? this way we turn it off/on depending on preference?

:) For me I wish software preserve settings when I log on so if I make new table it defaults to what I set last time vs start all over...

:rolleyes: it is this few minutes things who create problems... td must manually type in names to replace player wwho is "red dot" and also type in name of replacement if specific person is desire... is it possible to decrease red dot time? often if i do boot i do not realize this... it is very frustrating.

:unsure: agree with you inquiry... It is with regret I add time to rounds however I do this frequently if it is clear majority of people is not finish. If td need pick add more minutes to round or hear load screams of 10 tables who do not finish then i think it is clear what choice you make... but you is correct. it is NOT fair to table who do finish in timely fashion if and ONLY if delay is not directly relate to issues of subbing/connection. Is it fair to penalize innocent partners and opps if one person boot and no subs is available? sigh... this is true meaning of life quesiton i think tee hee no good answer... but fair answer is do best we ok to do and adjust 1 late table vs make entire tournament wait for unfortunate ones to finish... Is it fair to mark people who is chronic disconnections /bad connections? Yes/no... i feel very bad for this people but at same time if i weighing needs of 80 other pairs vs 1 person .... I think all tds wish for thing who show us how many tables is finish so we reduce number of adjustment calls...

:angry: Problem is certain people do this on regular basis and not with discipline you mention. We all agree this is legitimate (and fun) part of bridge but chronic psychs is entire other issue. This is why we encourage people to use notes feature.

Unfortunately this is maybe rule/law BUT we no ability to assess procedual penalty at this time... unless you consider A+/- procedural penalty :(

:) I direct 1-2 times per day depending on day and much of time when you see no information available it is due to language vs uncooperative opps. Please keep in mind this is glorious INTERNATIONAL site where many people do not speak FLUENT english. And if you doubt this please look at greetings I use in fun fishy...
