;) Surley undos are generally only needed for 'Genuine' misclicks. I myself think you should LIVE with your mistakes It might make you more Careful and pay more attention

;) dont you have a TD seems you need one to sort this out having 2 copies of the law book one in paper back one in hard back reason use the paper back to admonish those in 1,4,6,9,10 use the hard back in the rest Why hard back ??? to hit the really abnoxious ones with

All fine and dandy, so long as the bunnies are willing to walk around carrying signs that say "I'm incompetent, but I like to pretend that I'm engaged in a competitive endeavor. Please be nice to me, or I'm gonna take my toys and go back home" ;) mmm I am not talking now about Regional or National Competitions I am refering mainly to online play or local Club bridge :)

:D I think smokers should wear a bell so we can see and hear the lepers coming
-
:D lets up the ante If you need to psyche against rabbits to enable you to win then so be it; If you are going to psyche then do it against experienced players who when the dust has settled will at least be in a position of recognising the psyche but more importantly whether your partner has 'fielded' the psyche and fetch the TD
-
:D yes wayne but which would you get more pleasure out of Knowing your card play was the reason you got good results or that you needed to psyche against lesser players ???????????
-
 yes fred same here :D
-
:D Right on the head fred that to me is what this no psyching in some tournies is all about  Let me get this straight Fred made that claim that experts should refrain from psyching against noobs based on an external aesthetic standard. You are now stating that this is in some way equivalent to random private TDs passing regulations that violate the rules of the game. This is one of the most fallacious lines of reasoning that I've seen in a long, long time. ;) well if the only way one can be sure of winning is by psyching against lesser opponents rather than by what should be better card play technique then i suppose it takes all sorts

 The possibility for a small 'Multiple' teams movement would be appreciated say 6 2 board rounds with computer moving E/W as an American whist movement

Reporting Psyches

 there are experts and then there are experts  -
:D Is this in the none classy list A young highly attractive Female sits down as your opponent, she is well endowed in the Chest department and is wearing a very low cut top. :P

In a regular partnership, this is unlikely to be possible. Are you trying to suggest it is impossible to psyche lawfully in a regular partnership? :P Wayne you have just shot yourself in the foot here i think You can never regularily psyche with a regular partner Why?? Because it is not now a psyche it is a partnership understanding and unless your CC states that partner is known to do x y z in this position then the TD will have you for using a hidden partnership agreement
-
This is at best a distortion of what the law says ... perhaps it is deliberate... and hence a psyche. ;) ok wayne law 40 c 1 in full A player may deviate from his side's announced understandings always provided that his partner has no more reason to be aware of the deviation than have the opponents. Repeated deviations lead to implicit understandings which then form part of the partnership's methods and must be disclosed in accordance with the regulations governing disclosure of system. If the director judges there is undisclosed knowledge that has damaged the opponents he shall adjust the score and may award a procedural penalty. Or in brief the bid MUST hold the same element of surprise for the other 3 people at the table. Thanks for making me type it out in full :) :)
-
;) Not sure about a psyche button that alerts the TD but no one else. Some tournies have a TD and also playing TD's who at present gert the same messages as the non playing TD - Missing Player - TD required etc This could cause a problem for those playing not least wondering what is going on at another table :P
-
:) I think you have hit on the main reason they cheat :)
-
;) The main problem with 'Cheats' is there always will be those whose grasp of the game is that they cannot win with any certainty so they will cheat UNTIL caught out. I know of 2 very very ethical couples who play online from the same address However they woud never ever consider cheating and both pairs are good enough to hold their own in f2f competitions ;)
-
;) My last post was in response to mr1303 who seems to admit that when he played with davidc he regularily psyched thus it becomes a 'partnership' understanding as partner will know that partner has done x y z in this situation before therefore it is a partnership understanding And as a psyche should by law hold the same element of surprise for the other 3 THREE people at the table this is broken ;)
-
:) good tip feegle ;)
-
:o Well if they were in a National event and the TD was called then they should have been :( If by your admission you used to psyche regularily then it is no longer a psyche as your partner must have in his mind the possibilty that you HAVE psyched

Someone has already posted one that applies to soccer. For bridge, how about: when an opponent is regularly holding their cards such that you can see the faces, inform them. :D If someone is showing their hand by not holding it up I tend to suggest they hold it so I cannoot see it as it only spoils the game if I can. A little aside to the above whilst playing against an LOL she commented that she did not know what to bid with her hand ; so I quipped well if you show it me I will tell you! A big mistake as she did :o :(
