  1. ;) I am afraid you just bite the Bullet so to speak : at the start tell players that in the event of disconnections you will allow 2 Minutes for people to return after that they will be replaced for the 'Good running' of the Tourney <_<
  2. :P with the screen grabber i have posted above You only need to press Print Screen Key Not a combination :)
  3. :D Another good screen grabber is Gadwin Print screen And it is free at Downloads.com
  4. I would get really worried if an amply endowed nubile of the female sex was told to cover her cleavage up so as to stop distracting opponents
  5. Regarding robin's reply and other then scathing responses As TD's I always thought we were there for the 'Benefit' of the players and we should always try to accomodate their needs NOT OURS
  6. Well it seems to be working OK for me so far
  7. Subbing works much the same in both versions, except that in the web version you have the ability to sign up for 'any Tournament' while in the windows version you can only sign up for specific tourneys. A TD who cares is expected to look at the list and pick the one he wants . Some of them doubtless pick 'any sub' then replace that sub if they dont like what they get. that isn't too nice. U  Uday does this feature of TD being able to pick from a displayed list only exsist in Client I would love to be able to pick subs but dont get chance under normalWindows
  8. Is it possible for TD to see barometer scores as the Tourney progresses :)
  9. :) well i have sucumbed and updated to new one when asked on log in so will see when i log in to and play tonight
  10. ;) my view at moment but then I admit to being a 'Luddite'
  11. :) It is now trying to get me to update as I try to log in I have told it no so far though Hope it works if I sucumb :)
  12. :( Hi Fred Am I correct in reading this that the Old Windows version will cease to work when we reach 20,000 + I rather like this version and am loathe to upgrade to Client I only run under Windows XP SP3 and have no intentions EVER of using Vista But I am getting worried that I may not be able to use BBO
  13. ;) duno if this works with client open BBO click on 'cog wheel' on bottom row then look at options on top row <_<
  14. :o Is that strictly true Frances New Virgin packs I have seen/used come in suits one suit ACE up to King Next suit KING down to Ace and then repeated for remaining 2 suits. :)
  15. :D Don't know SAYC but this should be easy for Acol although it misses the official criterion 2♠ (8 playing tricks with ♠'s as Trumps
  16. It seems to me that if I can infer that my p is likely to have psyched without the psych have being "revealed" it means that we have an implicit agreement to psyche. Which is an oxymoron. Hello, english is not my mother tongue is "to be aware" the same as "to infer"? we agree that a psyche is allowed and part of the game. So playing with every single bridge player on this world I am aware of the possibility of a psyche. How does this lead to an implicit agreement? Should I stop playing bridge because, playing with every single player on this world, I am aware that 1♣ - 1♠ could be short in spades? ciao stefan germany ;) Not quite that bad If you play with Zia once or Forrester once; You may be aware that they might psyche; However the very 'ONCE' means you CANNOT have a partnership agreement : A partnership agreement is just that: You would need to play with them a good number of times AND they need to have done the SAME psyche more than say 3 times whilst playing with YOU before it becomes a partnership agreement :P
  17. ;) Well giving the Bank of England the power is a shining example of why NOT to <_<
  18. ;) Blackshoe perhaps my answer was too simplistic The ruling is 60/40 But it is decreased to 30% with the adition of a 10% procedural penalty
  19. :D technically EBU would award 60/30 in this case i.e. 60/40 with a 10% procedural penalty
  20. :D I think those who wear silly Hats should be banned as well hehee
  21. From your username, I would guess you do not need a bell to announce your presence. mmmm this is only one of my aliases :D
  22. :D You could ask TD's to carry a 'Febreeze' spray to sray their Clothes
  23. :D Yup Blackshoe that is our treatment for pyches 6a2 and 6b6 for Wayne's interest
  24. Not entirely true. Declarer can take a card from her hand, show it to the opps, put it back and play another. Only when the card is "held face up, touching or nearly touching the table" is it considered played. Defender must play any card held so that it is possible for her partner to see. This is one of the laws Ive found many players mis-quote and TD’s have their own interpretation. Ideally, separate undo functions for bidding and declarer/defender play should be available. ;) spot on jillybean
