I thought it was "your suits suck lets try my 6 or 7 carder" It's becoming popular after Michaels to play 2NT=invitational or better in partner's minor 3♣=pass/correct 3♦=invitational or better in partner's major 3M=natural, to play I think this is vastly superior to trying to escape in your own suit.

I like 2♠ NV at MP so long as partner isn't expecting anything constructive. 6♠xx -1000

agree with matmat. I like in American sports that tapes of the games are scrutinized by some officials after the game is over and suspensions or fines can be given out to players for calls the refs missed or for things the refs don't enforce (like a game suspension after the 7th technical foul in basketball). The Kaka red card from a few games ago is a great example of the need for someone to review the tapes, reverse the red card, and impose a penalty on the cheater on the other team. Obviously refereeing professional sports is a very challenging profession and it's impossible to be perfect. I don't think that's a reason for the players not to be held accountable when they egregiously break the rules.

Good question. I think it should be good ♥ because (1♠) 2♠ (p) 3♦ is good ♥ but obviously this is a little different. I think it is forcing.

2♥ would be my first choice. If I were playing precision it's an obvious 1♥ opener. Pass is not an option for me.

As West, would you be entirely happy that your hand was what partner was expecting? I expect my partner to expect that I have spades and diamonds and enough values to overcall. Given that, I really can't complain. I expect 3NT to be a pretty decent game, probably the best game, and if 5m is better, we probably still have play for 3NT anyway. So... yes.
