Playing a barb. I'll try to figure out how to add you. Yesterday I played from a bit before the butcher to beating diablo and overall im pretty happy with the game. i had managed to avoid storyline spoilers mostly and i enjoyed that aspect as well.

I woke up this morning and saw this image on facebook And then spent the next several hours very, very confused about wtf was going on.

So, I can sort of play from my apartment, which means I'll be grinding a lot in the next couple months, but I definitely had some really bad connection spots. I had really bad lag, especially when breaking ashes which is weird, but there were a couple times where I experienced lag walls where the map simply fails to load any further and at the end I lost a substantial amount of my progress due to no connectivity. Lame. That said, I ran through SK without any problems and honestly without even getting close to being in trouble. Random button mashing is too easy. I'm looking forward to more of a challenge. But yeah, I'm admitting to joining the ranks of addicts. Can't play HC with my current connection for sure, but looking forward to it when i get more stable. Also sad I'll be missing the RMAH ATM that's currently going on.

you should be looking for every slot to have strength/vitality/resist all modifiers secondarily you can look for: +armor, +life%, attack speed, and individual resists (physical being best, fire being second best, arcane being third best) I haven't seen any viable inferno builds that use anything but 1H+shield.

Not yet. Blizzard's focus on D3 is primarily PvM instead of PvP. They will eventually release an arena for duels, I believe both team and individual, but it won't be out for a while, and it won't be like it was in D2. As far as the two realms, Blizzard has no intention of having ladder resets (the two realms in D2 were ladder and open), so everything will be open for now (and hopefully they keep hacking in check, but bots have allegedly already been developed for farming). Of course, Blizzard may change their mind about ladder resets, which effectively wipe out everyone's gear and makes them start from scratch. Time will tell. ETA: I think they announced patch 1.1 would include the PvP arena

glgl "it's a big black mushroom!" I likely won't buy D3 any time soon. Maybe eventually, but only if Blizzard fixes some of the retarded things they did and balance the classes better. Of course the game has been out for only 2 weeks, so I expect a lot of changes both sooner and later, but from what I've seen so far the game doesn't meet my expectations and the problem with hacked accounts really needs to get solved.
