Now I can win in dummy and ruff a ♦ back, now a ♥ to dummy and another ♦ ruff. The other option is to ditch the ♦ from your hand, but it won't matter since there are not suffecient entries.

As it was, Declarer has 2 small spades, and Dummy has Qxx. Dummy has a heart void also and the AKJ♦, the only way to beat the hand is a spade lead. My partner thought that a heart was a normal lead, but I kinda felt that I should have found the spade lead.

Agreed, and I try not to do it at club games and things, and I understand the other point of view, but barring them really is not in the spirit of the game imo. How hard do you have to try? As a junior, sometimes very hard :)
