  1. DBL then NT. I'm a bit too good for NT now.
  2. Looks a bit light to force to game even opposite a 15/16
  3. 1. = 1♠ pretty normal I think. 2. = 1♥ because we have a fit. 3. = DBL because I have ♣. ♠ will have to wait.
  4. I have too much to pass and not enough to force. Therefore I DBL, partner will likely bid a minor and I'm passing for a +.
  5. A couple of reasons. Balancer more often will not have good Majors (no DBL) and since partner never O/called at 1 level will likely not have a good suit.
  6. Partner and I play 11/14 1NT in the pass out seat. So I bid 1NT with the following: [hv=s=st87hajdkqt32ckt3]133|100|[/hv] After 1♣, P, P, 1NT Should system be on?
  7. I've done enough. Pass and hope we can beat.
  8. 2♠ is GF for me. 3NT is just a confident sign off. 2NT allows responder to give further info.
  9. I'm not ever passing!. At = and Fav it's a good 4♠ bid. Not sure if I'd bid 4 at Unfav but probably would.
  10. Stayman and then 4♠/2♦. Nice to have this bid in my system. P need a max to accept to 6N.
  11. None or if you insist the 3♦ bidder
  12. 1. [hv=s=s2hk432dk8caqjt98]133|100|[/hv] 2. [hv=s=s2hk432dk8caqjt98]133|100|[/hv] 3. [hv=s=s2hk432dk8caqjt98]133|100|[/hv] 4. [hv=s=s2hk432dk8caqjt98]133|100|[/hv] Partner opens 1♥ you bid 2♣ and partner rebids 2♦ My question is how do you rebid these hand types in 2/1. Is it possible to distinguish between 3 and 4 card support. What about the quality of your side suit ♣ Thank you for the comments. :P
  13. Applicants are currently being interviewed for Americas first trip to the moon.
  14. 2♠ easy! 3♠ shows a solid suit so thats out. 4♠ possible, but I don't have a set agreement for this, so it's out. Nothing else appeals.
  15. This agreement seems to be consistant with many (but not all) of the posts. But why so? Is there some compelling logic that I'm missing! I get the idea of retuning high/low from original holding of 3 if unblocking or pinning is a consideration, but what if it's not? Another consideration is what to lead from XX, does it not make sense to lead low if playing upside down count. Ofcourse if your leading from Hx, the honor would still be lead.
  16. Partner leads a low spade, you hold: 1. ♠ A83. You win and return ? 2. ♠ A832 You win and return ? What is consistant win upside down count signals. Does it matter vesus a suit contract or NT.
  17. 2♦ and 2♥ seem conservative but reasonable rebids. Over 2♥ I prefer 3♥.
  18. Same here. This fits what I play, 100% forcing and keeps 3NT in the picture.
  19. P YOU 1♥ 1♠ 2♣ 2♦ 3♥ 2♦ is FSF, Partner surprises you with 3♥. Any ideas?
  20. Good question!. I Play DBL here as equal length 5/5 and expect P to bid accordingly. 3♥ shows longer ♥ 6/5 most likely. How do I show longer ♠ 6/5 bingo 3♦. Makes sense to me.
  21. [hv=d=s&v=b&s=sak9xxhkq8d9xct8x]133|100|Scoring: IMP With the ops silent you open 1♠ part bids 2♣. What's you call ?[/hv] I suspect this has been discussed before. If you cannot rebid ♠ (shows 6) then how do you proceed? I don't like 2NT with the weak doubleton, 3♣ seems awkward to say the least, I'm leaning toward 2♥ but with little conviction. If you rebid 2NT (likely wrong sided), how do you discover if the ♦ are adequately stopped to play 3NT?
  22. Your bid? [hv=d=e&v=n&s=sthakt87dt9xxck9x]133|100|Scoring: IMP 2♦ P P DBL P ?[/hv] If you wanted to bid 2♥ immediately, sorry its too late!
  23. North has another option here. What about DBL/1♠?. Keeps the bidding lower, allowing partner more flexibility. Following Souths rebid North will be better placed to determine a sensible continuation.
