    3NT

    ♣K and ♥8 towards Q.
  2. Raise in clubs. Analogous to (1H)-1S-(2S)-X etc.
  3. [hv=d=w&v=e&n=saj5hj43dkt842c96&s=sk3hakq82dj3cakq3]133|200|Scoring: MP[/hv] Bidding proceeds: (P) -- P -- (P) -- 1H (P) -- 2H -- (P) -- 3C (P) -- 4H -- All Pass. LHO leads the ♠2 (3rd/5th) and you stick in the Jack and it holds. What's the best % line in MPs?
  4. The advantages about 4C? It's a preempt, and preempts work. Since we are vul, partner would expect me to have my bid, thus he can judge the situation (raising to game, penalising them etc). Plus, people rarely X 4m openings for penalties and they have a hard time to judge whether it's safe to come into the auction or not as opposed to opening it 5C, which they can easily hit that. Don't you just love it when it goes 4C - (4M) - X.
  5. I think I fit with this as well.
  6. 1) No, I won't open this. 2) Yes 3) 3C
  7. Agree that the meaning of 4H is down to discussion. My partner and I have the same principles when it comes to transfer-preempt type bids. X of the opening bid would be t/o of their suit and bidding their suit is michaels-type of bid. But without any agreements, I pass now and see what partner has to say what his 4♥ means.
  8. Both Vul at imps? I'm going to go for the slow road and open it 1C. 2nd choice is 4C, as it seems a bit too heavy for 3C and 5C is too much.
  9. How many posts did you make before you found out this better way? lol
  10. X. This should be unanimous :)
  11. Agree with the pass and now I hope I have 2S as an asking bid to see what type of 2H raise partner did. If partner will never raise me with 3card support then I bid game.
  12. 1) Prefer 2♠ than X 2) Given my X was responsive, 3♥ is just competitive. My original X already said my hand so I now pass with no extras to be found.
  13. I'm leading a black suit. As to which one...well I'm guessing dummy's first bid suit, so spade 10 it is.

    Torn between 3♣ and 3NT.
  15. Definitely agree with 1NT. And now I pass 3♠. 3♠ should roughly be about a good 15 to 17.
