Hehe, I guess even top players are not 100% sure how it should be. Regarding Lavinthal, I personally think it is not such a great tool. Its problem is that you are forced to show your preference. Whatever you discard, pd will take it serious. Sometimes you can only discard from a long suit and this suit is the one you hope pd could lead if he has chance. In this case pd will do sth u dont like for sure.

NOt many books on defense discuss this topic in depth. The discussion about the last board of the BB final showed even top players may not agree with each other. Anyone here know the completely right discardng sequence in the mid game? Suppse you are going to discard 7542 of hearts on the running of a long suit by declarer. what is the right order? Doesnt it matter if declaer is declarering 7N or 3N? Should you discard 2 first, showing no interest on it, then 3, showing the count of remaining card? Or discard 7 frist, showing the count, then 5,4 or 2, telling pd what you can guard?

I like 1d then 2H. Here after pd's 2s, I would bid 3c. If pd can bid 3N, i will pass. If pd bid 3d I will bid 4c. 5d is safe. I dont think leaping to 6d is a very good idea. Pd may have sth like S: QJTXXX H: XXX D: XX C: KX You still dont know if you should play 6d, 6s, or 3N, or 5d. Better to wait.

Cx, when dummy is a strong hand, lead through it is always good. lead d has no future coz u have only 1 trump. heart is more likely to be 3-1 after RHO jump to 4s, so you wont have many tricks in h. better to dig sth in club.

His little book"Negative dbls" page15 and page45. This happens when pd opened one minor and RHO overcalled with another minor at the two level: 1C-2D-X OR 1D-2C-X HE said this dbl only promise at least one major, not two major.

I am reading Marty bergen's negative dbl. He said you can dbl with only one major after 1c-2d-? say with S: AQ H: KXXX D: XXXX C: XXX Then, when he discuss the rebid of the opener, he says with S: KJXX H: XX D: X C: AKJTXX you should jump to 4S. How can you jump in a major when pd's negative dbl gurantees only one major? Any comments?

Ben, before cast my vote, can you give us the relay structure? I need to know how it goes before voting. As you said, i also noticed this trend. Seems Italy and Norway, and usa1 all use relay. I will try to learn if it is logical and easy to follow. After all, victory proves its power.

Can you give us the bidding process at both table? Chinese taipei didnt bid it, they went sth like this: W E 1C 1D 1S 2H(4TH SUIT FORCING) 2S 3D 3N 4C 4H 4S? ... 6N I think here 3D is a very bad bid. After pd showing 6-5 in black suits. what is the point of 3d? Here the best bid is 3c, telling pd you have very good clube spt. After 3C, i think it is easy to bid 7. It is a pity many commentators didnt discuss much of the bidding, only junyi_zhu mentioned he like 3c here.

I dont know if anybody put it up before or not. I think it might be good if kibtzers can join other table if they want while watching at a table. Say I am kibtzing table A, but i found table B need a player and I want to go there. Currently you have to quit table A before you join table B. If we have this function, then you can try joining table B while watching talbe A. If you are rejected, then you just keep watching table A.

I was a humble kibitizer. Dbl would not have occurred to me either. The bidder, however, was a "gold star" (Rado) playing with a really good partner (Mik22). Lol, sorry for my tune, it sounds very strong, right?

I will lead H8, hope pd can get back with s. He should has one honour in H. Leading S will give declarer one trick i think.

Ben, I dont think Dbl 4h is a good idea. Why do you think it shows 65? Why not simply bid 4S? What do you expect pd to do? If he bid 4S, it will be easier for his pd to decide what to do.
