  1. Pass because of the color. I hope to enter later.
  2. Yeah, clubs first. I'll discard spades from the table. That sounds fine too but what if they figure I have the clubs?
  3. I was reading 'The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe' from a PDF containing all the books. Gotta finish it...
  4. ♥A and both remaining trumps to arrive to: ♠--- ♥(7) ♦AT(9) ♣Q52 ♠--- ♥Q6 ♦Q2 ♣J4 Expecting LHO to have had: ♠x ♥Kxxx ♦KJxx ♣ATxx Edit: I changed the red cards in dummy. By the way what would change if LHO plays ♣T on the first round of the suit?
  5. Just narrate the events and use ATB.
  6. I think 2NT was not adequate. 3♥ is ugly but might be better. What about 3NT over 3♠? Minor's showing partner doesn't have quite the 5-lvl hand, does he?
  7. 6♣, it should show the void. However, I'm a little concerned partner might have some clubs and I also don't like my opening: my hand is too strong for 1♠ 9-15.
  8. Yeah, after meditating it a while RHO ♣K is a neccessity for the contract to be successful, unless we find QJ doubleton in hearts...
  9. So, is it a 'shot to the floor' (a sure thing) that partner holds 11+ HCP's? Couldn't he have a weak hand with distribution? Am I always defeating them? I don't like my hearts much, I don't like where they are either. I'm bidding 2NT, especially since it's imp's.
  10. W/R, Bidding goes: Pa 1♣ 1♥ X Pa 3♠ Pa 4♠ Pa Pa ... And you hold: ♠Kx ♥KJxxx ♦987xxx ♣ How bad is bidding 5♦? Is there any medication that can be taken against this sickness?
  11. Say you hold: ♠98xxx ♥QJTxx ♦Qx ♣A Your RHO opens 1m (where 'm' represents a minor). What would you overcall? Let's say you don't like your Qx so change it to AQ and the worthless singleton, what would you overcall? Your Michael's is strong, by the way.
  12. It's scary. You don't want to be near the Madrid chainsaw massacre protagonist. Also, evidently he doesn't play bridge.
  13. I win in hand and play ♦A and another. I'm playing West for the ♦K.
  14. What's wrong with 2♠? The problem would be more interesting with: ♠Txx ♥x ♦J8xxx ♣K9xx
  15. All white, dealer passes and you hold: ♠Axx ♥AT98xxxx ♦ ♣xx What's your bid? A cookie for those who remember where this is from.
  16. 1NT for me. I don't want to miss the opportunity to describe several features of my hand to partner.
  17. I bid my 5-card Major. If I double I'm sure my partner will bid diamonds.
  18. I've already gone for 2000 for overcalling 2♥ with a lousy suit and hand. In that case it was KJxxx and I believe I had 3 spades and no 4-card minor for sure. If you're playing against strong opponentns who'd double you when it is right don't overcall at these colors. X is not that good either, unless you want to risk playing in a 4(3)-2 club fit.
  19. This is not true. I'm torn between 2♣ and 2♥, but it is so problematic to lie with the Majors that I lean towards 2♣, which might be great if it stops them from leading a club.
  20. I pass partner's double, too.
  21. A splinter not showing a void is not an agreement I had heard before (though I've heard of cases when you can show singleton one way and void the other). I agree with whoever said 3♦ (Bergen raise) with this.
  22. Partner looks at his diamonds? With good diamonds he passes or with really bad diamoinds? If the second, is this normal or correct? I've been on occasions of the idea that this was wrong (even though I tried to employ it nut was told otherwise).
