I would even extend this to "definite natural trump tricks" I usually roll my eyes at people who make disasterous non-singleton leads when a singleton lead was available and then try to explain their logic to me. Obviously this doesn't apply to leading their trump suit. Singleton trump leads generally work extremely badly.
1. I'd rank them 3♠, 4♣, 3♦, 3♥. I am a little worried about partner driving to slam over a 4♣ bid. If I started with 3♠ I would certainly bid 4♥ later if given the chance. 2. 3NT
Playing "Phil's" convention will mean hands where 3NT is off top tricks don't happen and you can comfortably bid 3NT when you have a balanced 6 count in this auction.
The opps are bidding 4♠ for almost sure, so you'd better bid 4♣ so someone can make an intelligent 5 over 4 decision. If 4♣ shows a slam try then bid 4♥ and remember to change your methods after the deal is over.
What about 4NT RKC for ♥? At the very least we can stop short of slam if partner has 0 keycards. I agree 6♣ is a better bid than 5♣. I guess we can only do this if partner will pass our 6♣ signoff (and doesn't take it as asking).
A solid local expert near where I live claims that 20-30 years ago he kept records of all wins/losses and even normal looking WJOs were the biggest loser by far. I would always weak-2 this hand but as Ben said, the conditions matter for a WJO
In my area a lot of good players play 1m-2♥ as 3-way: - 11-12 balanced - mixed raise of 1m - SJS in hearts Over this, 2♠ asks partner's hand: - 2NT, 3m show the obvious hands - other bids show the SJS
