  1. P P P ? Preempt... It apparently thinks that it has to open simply because it has a hand that qualifies as a preempt and totally disregards the fact that it is in fourth seat.
  2. Your partner would make an excellent psychiatrist.
  3. This is not always true. There have been several occasions where trumps do not move to the left, either in dummy or in my hand. It usually rectifies itself within a few hands though or after logging off and back on.
  4. So two guys are out walking in the woods when they run across a bear. One of the guys calmly stops, reaches into his backpack and pulls out his tennis shoes, sits down and starts to put them on. His buddy yells, "What are you doing? Those shoes won't help you outrun the bear, run you idiot run!!" The guy looks at his friend and cooly replies: "I don't have to outrun the bear. I only have to outrun you."
  5. Does this feature only work in the Flash version? It does not show up as an option on the Web version when I right click on players name bar.
  6. Bookers? Repeat? Awwww, damn, I thought he said hookers.
  7. It has 13 cards. That's always a good thing. :P
  8. I finish my hand pattern (and show a real club suit) by bidding 4♣ (not 3♠). After that, I have shown my hand, and will respect whatever partner bids next. If partner bids 4♦ over this, I will raise to 5.
  9. Are there really choices other than 2♥?
  10. You do not want to be in seven of anything on these holdings.
  11. Correction: Other people's babies are ugly. My daughter was (and still is) beautiful, and you'll never convince me otherwise. :D
  12. Under the given constraints, partner's possible distributions are: Short ♣, 1 case, 4-4-4-1 Short ♦, 1 case, 4-4-1-4 Short ♥, 3 cases, 4-1-4-4, 4-0-4-5, 4-0-5-4 Short ♠, 3 cases, 1-4-4-4, 0-4-4-5, 0-4-5-4 Given that partner will be short in a major suit 6/8 times and in a minor suit only 2/8 times, and our side will always have 4-5 cards when short in a minor suit, but only 3-4 cards when short in a major suit, I think a minor suit lead has a greater chance of being successful. I'll pick a club, only because we rate to hold more clubs (either 8 or 9) than any other suit, as long as clubs is not partners shortness. However, I'm sure this is wrong and I am leading into AKQ10xxxx. :) EDIT: I also think that RHO may well have only an 8 card suit headed by the AKJ10, rather than the 9 or 10 card suit that was suggested by others, if that makes a difference.
  13. (1♣)-X-(P)-1♥- (1♠)-2♥* *How many points does the 2♥ bid imply? Is this what you are trying to ask?
  14. Next time he bids (or plays) like this, try peeing on his leg. He might get the hint.
  15. I never have understood what would make anybody want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
  16. Look to the left, below your name. You are "Secretary Bird". It is a scale that reflects how many posts someone has. I am "Molly the Mule". :)
  17. When you say "Yes, and I changed it. 4NT in this auction is now RKC" or "There was a typo in the rules that has now been fixed", are these changes effective immediately or does a new version of GIB need to be released before they will take place? Do the changes take place with all of GIB, or only specific types areas (i.e., the rented monthly bots) or when using only certain settings (speeds)?
  18. Since I have seen people eating deep fried Mars bars nothing is able to surprise me. From the North Carolina State Fair (otherwise known as "A heart attack waiting to happen"): "Besides deep-fried Ho Hos, the attention-grabbing new item at this year's N.C. State Fair is chocolate-covered bacon." We have a winner!! :) Other fair food examples: Deep-fried HoHo's, Deep-fried Twinkies, Deep-fried Coca-Cola, Deep-fried Banana Pudding, Deep-fried Butter, Fried Peanut Butter Sandwich, Deep-fried candy bars (Snickers, Baby Ruth, Mars, you name it, you can probably get it), Deep-fried Macaroni and Cheese, a streak of lean, which is a piece of pork fat with a little bit of meat in it that is deep-fried until crisp, and of course, the usual fair food such as ears of roasted corn drowned in butter, cotton candy, funnel cakes and deep-fried turkey legs. http://www.newsobserver.com/2009/10/16/143...e-faint-of.html
