  1. If you must underlead, at least least the 9 and give parter some chance of getting it right.
  2. 2N promises a stop, and probably 15-18 pts. 3C is most likely shortness, and at least a mild slam try.
  3. A better system for creating team games would help. I wish it would be possible to create a public match, with either 1 pair, 2 pairs (as a team) or 2 pairs (one on each team), and allow other users to register as partnerships, perhaps with TD approval.
  4. Being able to show shortness below game is never bad.
  5. Without sophisticated gadgets,I'd transfer to spades, then bid 6H.
  6. Given the hand QJxx-KQJxx-Ax-xx, in my Precision (transfers, relay control asks) 1c-2d 2h (trump ask) - 3c (2 of top 3, 5 pieces) 3d (clubs?) - 3s (3rd round) 4c (diamonds?) - 4N (1st round) 5c (spades?) - 5h (3rd round) 5s (club reask) - 5N (shortness) 6d (spade reask) - 6s (high card) (Responder would bid 6h with a doubleton spade here. 6N should be safe.)
  7. But printed sources practically always have some spacing between the letter sthough. A K 10 5 4 as opposed to AK1054
  8. Or better yet full vector (or at least ultra hi-res scans) cards we can scale however we want.
  9. Important question: Is the 4H bid *exactly* a singleton or could it be a void?
  10. Mike, I'd be curious in your evidence re: effectiveness of "simple" big club systems. It's been my expirience that even a fairly simple big club (say, plain jane precision, 2+ 1D, 13-15 NT, trump and control asks), will consistently outpreform or at worst equal a typical "club expert" 2/1 system. Also, the auctions you normally win big on are NOT the 1C auctions, but auctions like 2C (intermediate) - 3C - AP, 1M - 4M, etc. Tend to do pretty well on the 1C auctions too though.
  11. Would it be possible to have an option to show 10's at "T" rather than "10", so every card is 1 character?
  12. That's defaintly not it. 4432 is more likely than 4333 So I'm going to submit: Hxxx Hxxx Hxx xx
  13. Interesting start. Visually a bit cluttered... too any colors. Hate the red border on the cards. Also, background should be all blue or all green. Performance seems fine. Will go into more depth when not on my lunch break.
  14. p-p-1♥-p 1♠ - p - 2♠ - p 3♦ - p - 4♠ - AP South hand is not an opener red vs white in 2/1 by my standards. Axxxx x AQxxx xx Would be.
  15. Hard to say, since I don't lead a spade on this auction.
  16. I think I'm pulling the red card on this one.
  17. Playing my transfer relay precision: 1C[1] - 1H[2] 1S[3] - 2D[4] 2H[5] - 3D[6] 3H[7] - 4H[8] 4N[9] - 5D[10] 5S[11] - 6C[12] 6H[13] - 6N[14] 7N 1 - 16+ 2 - GF with 5+ spades 3 - Trump asing 4 - 5 with 2 of top 3 5 - Control ask in hearts 6 - 1st round (void) 7 - Asking in diamonds 8 - AK or AQ 9 - Club asking 10 - 2nd rd 11 - Clarification in Dia 12 - AK 13 - Clarification in Clubs 14 - Q
  18. I think the auction should go: 2♣ - p - 2♦* - p 4♠ * - p - 4NT - p 5[H]* - p - 5♠ - ap * - Yes, 2♦. Playing this as purely negative is dumb. Responder should strain to stay out of partners way without a BIG reason for not doing so. Showing a diamond suit here ought to be at least a good 6 bagger with spots. * - Shows a very long good suit, denies full 2♣ HCP count, but basically a hand with game by itself, 9.5-10.5 playing tricks or so with an 8+ card suit. * - Two aces (if partner shows 3, bid 6, if partner shows all 4 (unlikely on this auction), try 7.
  19. Actual auction proceeded (opps passing throughout) 1D - 1S - 1NT - 2C (NMF) - 3NT (Confusing me quite a bit) - 6H - 6S Turned out parter has ♠ Qx ♥ AJx ♦ Axxx ♣ KQxx Obiously 7H, 7S, and 7N are all easy makes...even 7C is probably makeable. Don't know why p didn't just open 1NT, which makes bidding the grand a lot simpler. The actual result is somewhat immaterial though. (Oh, and the real irony is that the result of this board was win 10 for us...when the other pair had a miscue and passed out 4NT)
  20. [hv=s=sakjxxxhkqxxxdcaj]133|100|[/hv] Team game, bd 1 with a new partner playing 2/1. Auction starts 1♦ - 1♠ - 1NT. Your plan?
